I had a wonderful experience at Fantastic Fish & Chips in Brighouse. I ordered takeout for lunch, and I was very pleased with my meal. The food was exceptional, earning a top rating of 5, and the service matched that with a perfect score as well. The overall atmosphere, even for a takeout place, also impressed me, so I would rate it a 5. I highly recommend this restaurant, especially for a budget of £10 to £20 per person!

We visited for an early teatime, so the restaurant was empty when we arrived. It came highly recommended by my daughter, and the waitress inquired if we had made a reservation, which we didn't realize was necessary. The service was excellent, and the food was delightful. My experience with takeout from here has been hit or miss. Two weeks ago, I ordered fish and chips, and I had no complaints—it was great. However, on my visit tonight (December 11, 2023), it was terrible. The meal was more like batter than chips, and the fish consisted of scabby bits instead of a nice white fillet. The service was also a disaster; I had to wait 20 minutes for a disappointing meal. I’m giving a rating of 3 because sometimes it's really good, and other times it's quite bad.
