"We had a fantastic meal here at Bloc G. It was relatively quiet when we arrived but soon filled up with clients looking for a good meal. The waiter was very helpful, even though his English was limited. He was the only one front of...house but coped very well. We chose our meal from the plat de jour and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. First Class! A credit to the kitchen staff. This is a hidden gem for real good quality food cooked to a high standard. Keep it up and best luck for the future."

Whilst I cannot review the food as never tried it. Off putting waiting for ages to get served and one toilet for the ladies, not good.

Perfect location for going to the Cite walk Also close enough to walk to town center. Good hotel facilities and nice breakfast. Parking was a bit more difficult to get close to the hotel.

Stressed waitress...very interested in locals, tourists were a distraction almost! We witnessed tables leaving from lack of attention. Food was average, a very forgetful experience, no need to go back.

This turned out to be the meeting place that everyone went to before Carcassonne music festival, infast the night before it started they had a mad band on and DJ's, it was super cool place to go, not the cheapest but the most fun. Wonderful...setting and it really was good, og and the staff were a good laugh as well. Ill be back, just like Arnie.

This is not the place for your standard southwestern eating experience but all the better for that. Small menu, with choice of just three starters, mains and puddings, but each was temptingly off-beat mussels with a hint of curry, duck breast and berries,...wok-fried beef and vegetables, rice pudding with yuzu syrup. Whacky contemporary decor. We enjoyed the experience, and the place was full, mainly with French visitors.

Having read reviews of this restaurant, we were disappointed. We went for dinner one evening and although our table was not near the front door, cigarette smoke kept wafting in from the patio. Then when our meals arrived (the lamb brochette and the pressa pork...noir which did not overwhelm) we were not impressed to find them accompanied by potato chips. Even if they were home-made potato chips they seemed out of place for the cost of the meal.

Went for dinner. First diners in restaurant. Ordered duck breast and filet de cochon noir. After minutes meal arrived and duck was fine but sadly the pork was totally inedible. It resembled a very thick pork chop with fat rind and had hardly...been cooked, it was raw and the fat was the same. Sent it back and after mnutes the same meat was returned and it was not much better. Very unhappy but said little as we were actually renting a room at the restaurant.

"Visited today for lunch after reading a recent review about the high quality of food on offer. We were not disappointed! It was superb. There were 3 choices on each of the courses with one vegan option on each course. I had chicken fricassie which was the most delicious chicken dish I've had for a very long time. The meat was so tender, it fell away from the bone; the mushroom sauce was deliciously tasty - it wasn't over seasoned. My OH had tofu wok which he really enjoyed. Both were served with rice and runner beans. The starter was a dish of 2 types of melon one of which was watermelon, with feta. We didn't think it sounded great but we were very wrong. It was served with a dash of vinaigrette made with a light oil, a tiny bit of honey and toasted flaked almonds and was surprisingly interesting. All the flavours worked so well together. For dessert OH had the cheese plate with 3 different types of cheese which he loved but it couldn't have been better than my raspberry Eaton mess which was particularly good as it wasn't overly sweet. All for €18 each AND it was all organic! We sat outside in the courtyard which was a very pleasant area. The ambiance throughout was of calm. No background music, no clattering noises or shouting from the kitchen area. It was a little oasis of refined lunchtime dining, The service was impeccable. The young man who served us was very impressive and able to tell us what ingredients were used in the vinaigrette. It goes without saying that the high standard of food and service were also reflected in the high levels of cleanliness throughout. We only wish we'd discovered this place sooner and will be back again as soon as I can trust the OH's arm"
