"I had a fantastic meal at the Bluebell last night. We started by sharing a couple of mini camemberts served with crusty bread and sweet chili jam. Two of us ordered the Lamb demi pie, which was truly a masterpiece. "Demi" refers to the lamb shank that is slow-cooked, then the tender meat is blended with herbs and reformed around the lamb shank bone, all wrapped up in delicious pastry. It was absolutely outstanding! The vegetables were perfectly cooked, and the sauce was delightful. The service was friendly and top-notch as well. Kudos to the whole team! The pub is one of the best I’ve visited as a regular pub-goer. The staff is genuinely lovely and professional, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. The food is absolutely exceptional; if you’re looking for hearty fare, this is the place to go. I had the bangers and mash along with mac and cheese, and it was honestly the best I’ve ever tasted. The mac and cheese is truly to die for—I would travel hours just for it. I highly recommend this place—10/10! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

"Impressive in so many ways! I'd heard amazing things about the food, drink, atmosphere and friendliness of the Brew Shed, but it really does leave a great taste in the mouth! I went with 3 others who all raved about their meals and drinks. I had got in touch ahead of the meal, but Tom the Chef made an effort to come out to speak directly with me about any food sensitivities I have. Because of the various issues, it is really difficult to get a decent meal out, but Tom listened and came up with a brilliant meal for me. Oh the taste was FABULOUS! So full of flavour! The chicken was incredibly succulent too. This Chef knows his craft and he oozes food knowledge and passion for cooking amazing meals. Just LOOK at that basil under the halloumi! This meal is delicious. Ohh and the halloumi is the best I've had! Honestly, this is the BEST meal I've had out in a long time. It looked great, it tasted incredible. The drinks are excellent too. The staff are all friendly, attentive and very nice. I think I've found the perfect place to eat"

"what a great idea for our family to decide that our usual pre-Christmas dinner this year would be too much for me, now we have different family requirements. please, that I couldn't let my proud no thanks! we had an enormous evening with NO complaints, even drums. to achieve this with us from years to years, and including vegetarian, coeliac, vegan . . . and picky '. was nothing short of amazing. the menus were very attractive with something there for all, recognizable ingredients, nothing terrifying for the picker', but presented with imagination. most of the choices we all feel that we have spoken with a good degree of autority! the management and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, keeping an eye calm on what we needed, and efficiently circumvented with each question. all this was excellent, but we had to admit that the star of the show was the eating itself. quality and quantity both without a murmer, except perhaps to admire the amount of dishes. too much fun at everyone. So, yes, we enjoyed our evening. what an understatement! many thanks!"

"This charming country pub may seem ordinary at first, but the homemade soups on the menu are truly exceptional. The rest of the menu is also impressive and reasonably priced. The selection of beers is decent and the service is quick and friendly. Overall, this pub is well worth a visit."

"First lunchtime opening after an extended Christmas break was looking forward to it, I ordered ham egg chips off the specials menu and my son ordered cheese burger off the main menu. Ham looked as though it was left over from boxing day and chips were cold, sons burger was undercooked and bread bun very soggy again chips cold and burger not that warm either £11 for 2 shandy’s ! The place was freezing freezing it was warmer outside than inside. Female staff member was lovely as ever"

"It 's such a shame to see this place go down hill. It appears that the original staff before lockdown have all but vanished besides the odd one. As a result the Sun In has now gone from being a great gastro pub to a woo-girl (Google/UD it) eatary and sports bar. I imagine this was perhaps done by the owners to try and bring in a more alcohol friendly audience to combat the less impressive menu. Food was mostly good however one dish served to one of the party contained an ingredient, that was not listed on the menu. We spoke to the new manager who sorted it but our plates were cleared well before the affected party member had finished. Almost provoking a quick turn around time for a modestly filled restaurant/bar area."
