"Wow! How have I lived in Ilkeston all of my life and never visited this place! I knew it had a great reputation, but I had never gotten around trying it myself. The choice of food was a little limited, but I have to say, all courses that everyone ate in my party was extremely well presented, tasted fantastic, and received favourable comments and feedback. The staff were pleasant and attentative too, making for a great experience. The price was extremely reasonable too. I would highly recommend this restaurant."

"We went to have our Sunday dinner at Olivers today. We often go there for food or the sister pub the Lion in Brinsley. This is hands down one of the best roast dinners you will have. We've been coming here for years now for the food but also for the live entertainment and drinks. They work really hard to provide a broad spectrum of entertainment and it's always a great night out at the weekend. The bar staff are great and today we were served by a really lovely lady who couldn't have been more friendly. Just as an extra today we ate for free. We live local and our house had been damaged by the flood. The owner not only came and helped us local residents with our homes but then fed us all for free, which speaks to the kind of people who run Oliver's. So if you want a beautiful meal friendly staff and a real community feel with people who are passionate about what they do, then this is the place for you. Top tip, try the pork belly bites. You won't be disappointed."

"the first time I was and will not be the last! how have I lived in ilkeston for so long and never tried to drop this place! to fall early and absolutely loved! while not the cheapest breakfast, the quality of the products more than for them. the location was tastefully done, and the staff is friendly and attentive. I love the fact that they also have a small art gallery and show local talent. two small suggestions for the owners. 1) they offer greater flexibility on orders. we wanted to order a few halloumi with breakfast next to our order (sometimes what can be ordered with another breakfast), but they said we couldn't. 2) offer more than a size of hot drink. small points but overall an excellent first visit."

"I had a wonderful meal here with my family, which included a total of nine people, along with a small child. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly from the moment we arrived until the end of our meal. The food was served quickly, piping hot, and all at once. The portions were generous and satisfying. We also enjoyed a beautifully presented dessert that was a good size. My partner had the squash pudding, which came with plenty of crispy toppings—definitely not a tiny portion! Overall, it was excellent value for money. I was genuinely impressed and will definitely return."
