BODULO - Fischrestaurant

Flavours and tastes of the Adriatic, super fresh, high quality seafood, traditional , a special occasion place, close to the Jaeger Hotel. Well patronised by the locals who can afford that little bit extra.

We came for lunch with our 2 yo daughter. The service was very nice and they were very nice to our daughter. High chair was provided. Food was delicious . Look forward to coming back for dinner.Our 2 course set lunch was 15 eur.The restaurant has a feel of greek place. There is a small terrace but as it is on the main road it's not so great.

We were recommended this restaurant by the concierge at Sans Souci and it truly was a great experience.Food was fresh, tasty and the service was great. They didn't have an English menu but this was not an issue as the recommendations they suggested were delicious.The owners were very polite and helpful.The restaurant is a bit further out but easy to get to by taxi.

We went to Bodulo on recommendation of our nearby hotel. The weather was perfect and both times we could sit on the roadside terrace. Not such a busy road so there was very little traffic noise and for the chill in the late evening there were lots of blankets available. The service by Tamara was friendly and attentive. On both occasions the octopus was perfect, once in a salad and once grilled as a main course. We also had salt crusted sea bass which was excellent. We will definitely drop in when we are in Vienna again.

Had dinner there on our last visit to Vienna. The restaurant is slightly outside the center but can easily be reached by taxi (10 mins). Choice of fish is very good, cooked to your likings. We were 7 people and therefore were able to take fish cooked in different ways, which proofed to be a very good choice.Small caveat would be the wine list, there the restaurant owner would be well advised to increase the choice of wines.As we had very good weather we were able to sit outside, which was very nice. Some noise from the street, but that was no issue for us at all.

We were recommended this restaurant by the concierge at our hotel. We were a bit skeptical because we did not see this restaurant in the top 10. Our experience was truly outstanding. Tamara recommended our dishes as the menu is in German. For starters we had a seafood sampler which included sea scallops, shrimp, and octopus. Everything was simply divine. We ordered the salt crusted sea bass and monkfish. The presentation of the sea bass was so interesting that I recorded it! The monk fish was perfectly cooked and the vegetables were the perfect compliment. This was all followed by a divine desert platter that had the perfect sweetness that complimented the whole experience. Without question...

Starting with the positives, the food is excellent, both the fish as well as the side vegetables. Hence my 4 star rating. My review is limited however on one dining experience and on one dish. As to service, I have grudgingly accepted that servers in...Vienna may differ from my own standards. Fair enough. But I came here expecting that I can choose from 9 varieties of fish as listed on their menu, while being told right from the start (without an explanation) that I can forget about 99 percent of those and they only have one, namely Branzino. It turned out to be very good but I expected more options, since it claims to be one of the major fish restaurants. As for price point, I realize that...

I had a voucher of 70 EUR for my birthday, so it was high time to use it so we went for a dinner. After ordering, we were given some bread/baguettes, light salad/olives and some kind of garlic cream that went perfect with the former....: After the nice appetizer, I started with Scampi Creme Suppe, became my favorite real soon, it was soooo creamy and had very interesting seasoning (spices , I have no idea what did they use, but phenomenal. We went to Bodulo at the recommendation of a friend who chose it for an anniversary dinner. It is not cheap but it is worth every euro cent. The dining room is spacious and charming, with music in the background but not loud. The bread is fresh and tasty. They offer a kids menu which I saw online although it wasn't in the restaurant menu. It's more of a place for grown ups but they were very accommodating of my our children. Wonderful aperitifs, delicious scallop appetizer that was pricey at 13 euros but big enough to split.
