"This was one of the most disappointing Afternoon Tea experiences we have ever had. Previously enjoyed include The Dorchester , Claridges and The Atheneum. We chose this place for its proximity to the theatre we were attending. All good on arrival, very pleasant staff and nice table beautifully set. Ordered Coronation Afternoon Tea. From the menu I chose Breakfast Tea and my husband Camomile Tea. Booking was 16.45 and tea was served at 17.30. The Tea! Sandwiches well presented and tasty. Scones were crisp and over baked. Cakes tasty however no Choux buns as advertised. There was no offer of any replenishments by staff for tea or food. I asked for some more sandwiches and was served one single solitary finger sandwich. Finally, never before EVER have we been charged a supplement for our choice of tea! Our last Afternoon Tea was at The Milestones Hotel in Kensington that was absolutely drawer. The Brumus was by far the most unmemorable!"

Superb good old fashioned service, really made us feel like VIPs. Delicious brunch, very accommodating team. Would definitely go back.

The bar and restaurant are the wonderful Kit Kemp design. The food delicious. We had breakfast daily and dinner on several nights. Nice range of dishes.

To get a three course lunch of this quality in The Haymarket in central London for £28 a head was astonishing. We were treated with care, attention and respect.

The food was mediocre, specifically the shrimp Caesar salad with only 5 mushy shrimp. The service was also slow and snobby. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone. Ver carta

Hadn’t planned a visit to Brumus. We saw it on our way to the theatre and walked in. Loved it. Warmly welcomed into the spacious interior with fab decor, and very well looked after by Sarah. Thank you. Have booked to go back in a couple of weeks.

We were staying at the Haymarket Hotel, the hotel that Brumus is attached to, and it was spectacular! We ate breakfast each day at Brumus on our spring break trip to London! The pancakes were amazing, and so were the eggs! If you're going to London, would definitely recommend Brumus!

We had a delightful birthday breakfast for my daughter at Brumus. The ambiance at the hotel restaurant was lovely, and the waiter warmly welcomed us and wished my daughter a Happy Birthday. The service was attentive and not rushed, allowing us to enjoy our meal. The food was beautifully presented, hot, and delicious. The coffee and tea served were also very good. Overall, it was a great experience and we would definitely return and recommend it.

I used to work at this restaurant before, so it was a trip down memory lane for us when we chose it for dinner. However, we were ultimately disappointed. The service that used to be top-notch has now declined significantly. We overheard an argument between the hosts and the waiters about management issues, which was unprofessional. We asked for extra butter but it was forgotten due to the distraction. The food was also disappointing. The vegetarian main was dry, the pork chop and lamb shoulder were both dry and unbalanced. The tables in the restaurant were rearranged by dragging them across the floor, which was not ideal. Despite the nice atmosphere and jazz music, we didn't feel any more sp...

"The decor of the restaurant is really lovely. We were greeted as soon as we arrived. We placed our orders quite briskly. We received complimentary bread and olives, which was a nice touch. Our Bruchetta starter arrived a whole hour after we arrived, which was disappointing and far too long to wait for a cold and easy starter. The menu did not specify that the prawns on one of the bruschettas were raw! The waiter said service was slow because they were busy with Uber Eats and Deliveroo. Clearly not prioritising paying customers, who pay a 12.5% service charge, unlike online customers. Eventually, our main courses arrived. My pasta was only just cooked, so close to being undercooked and hard. They ran out of ricotta and replaced it with the tiniest amount of cheese so I asked for some more. Since ricotta was supposed to be the main ingredient of the dish. The tuna steak was lovely, and the veal could have done with a thinner breadcrumb batter. The sides, chips and zucchini, were £4.50 and very small portions for such a cheap side. So that was slightly disappointing. Overall, the pinot grigio white wine was very drinkable, and they brought tap water when we asked for it. And the whole staff were very polite. It was a shame the service was so slow, and the food could have been better for the price that it was. We also felt it was overpriced for the location it was, zone 2 London and not in the West End."
