"We went for brekki here this morning, we were warmly welcomed as were our furbabies. They kindly brought out sausages for the dogs and our drinks and food were absolutely amazing and very fairly priced! The iced coffee was gorgeous and my sister and I each had ‘martins muffin’ which was delicious!! The bacon was out of this world. The ingredients is clearly all locally sourced and of high quality. Absolutely wonderful experience! We’re going to go back in the morning if we’re not too hungover from tonight"

Live next door. So it's pretty handy to get some delicious food drinks. Can't recommend it high enough.

Had a very nice breakfast on Friday. It was the boot camp breakfast, salmon, poached eggs, avocado, toast. Very nice

Beautiful pasteurized eggs! Cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. The portions were large and that’s coming from an American. Would highly recommend. Ver carta

Having a breakfast sandwich from this place is always a delight. But that's not all – the selection of cold sandwiches for lunch is excellent and very affordably priced. If you're patient, they also offer local delivery.

Had a fabulous full English breakfast this morning in this gem of a cafe. We had our 2 small dogs with us and as soon as we arrived they had a sausage treat each given to them ! Staff were all friendly and were obviously dog lovers ! Will definitely visit again next time we are in Bridgnorth

I stopped by this morning while waiting for a ride after dropping off my car at a repair shop. I enjoyed the best Latte I've had in a while (with vanilla syrup) and a satisfactory bacon sandwich. It's a great value and they also offer free WiFi. I hope they succeed in serving the local industrial estate. Ver carta

Lovely freshly cooked breakfast here today with quality ingredients. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and very obviously dog lovers. Ours were made very welcome and enjoyed a free sausage. We sat in the garden to the rear of the cafe in the sunshine. There were 12 of us and the service was still great. Look forward to visiting again.

Went for breakfast today , was one of the best breakfast I've had in a long time , I had full English and was amazing, very nice coffe . Very friendly staff and good service, the only thing that's a BIG no no is selling Aldi tropical blast for £2 a can when there £1:69 for a pack of 6, I think that's absolutely ridiculous, must be making a fortune..... And also not to be sold separately! . Will come for breakfast again tho as was really nice food .

"Beautifull hotel, I guess one can call it trendy , but I just don 't understand how they can justify the price £130/night and that most of the time will go to £160 as they run out of entry level ones. So I guess the answer is there because people pay for it! But let 's just make some relevant comparisons Birmingham Grand literally in the heart of the city, brand new, 5* hotel, with all recently decorated rooms to the highest standard is £135 15 for breakfast. Needless to say rooms are air conditioned, fully equipped and genuinelly very posh. Hotel has lifts, has porters and the service is top notch. The Lion is barelly 4* just for trendiness alone, but the actual quality of furnishing is closer to 3*, has no lift and you will be lugging your bags up and down mutiple flights of stairs (and I mean multiple like 8 going up and down) trought narrow corridors to mediocre room (nothing wrong with it just mediocre) which isn 't even air conditioned. Sorry, I just don 't get it. That said restaurant is good fully fine dining if you are into it. Althought in my oppinion it doesn 't fit into the rest of the hotel. So it is ~3.5* hotel which is very youghtfull and trendy and then you get 5* fine dining with very tiny portions for the dinner (which is not criticism of restaurant, it is very good on it 's own). In conclussion I just don 't get what niche this hotel is filling, who stays there and why. The price for the rooms should be £75 95 tops. Shreesbury is not exactly prime tourists destination either (at least shouldn 't). But it seems it is working out for them, I just would not recommend it, I would not stay in it again and it is definatelly not worth the price. Neither in isolation, nor in comparison."

"Open since 1970 and located on Mardol, one of Shrewsbury’s oldest streets @thecurryhouseshrewsbury serves locally sourced ingredients married with traditional spices and chillies from the Indian subcontinent, a match made in heaven. 5 5 Recommended Price No better way to kick off proceedings but with popadoms, chutneys and fresh onion salad. On to appetisers and there are so many tempting dishes to choose with many of these exclusive to the curry house. Our first time trying Pani Puri. A sweet and spicy hot street food snack filled with chickpeas and tamarind sat on a bed of crunchy, nutty Bombay mix. With a building but pleasant heat, definitely something everyone should try. The quality and freshness of the seafood was exceptional. Spicy king prawns were huge and cooked to perfection. Charred on the outside for flavour but juicy and meaty. Trio of King scallops were beautifully tender and of a good size with sweetness from the tamarind liquor. Lamb rogan Josh tender lamb shoulder in a medium hot ginger tomato and onion sauce. A strong take on a traditional favourite of ours. Fresh from the Tandoor a generous mix of marinaded chicken, lamb, king prawns and a chargrilled lamb chop. The Tandoori deluxe massalla sauce was the perfect blend of sweetness melting into a subtle heat which brought the dish together perfectly. The curry house takes traditional dishes and flavours from the Indian subcontinent and elevates them to a level beyond expectations. Thank you for our invite to share the exciting menu created with passion and creativity.
