We went for a family meal and were served by a young waitress. A number of situations occurred which were really unsatisfactory. The waitress had little to no idea about table etiquette and was rude and unfriendly. The food that came out was on the whole very good. However the service had left a sour taste in our mouths. After speaking to the manager about how inappropriate and unprofessional the service was we were offered no proper apologies or compensation.

Our family has eaten at Castle Turm ever since we moved to Germany! The waiters and waitresses are lovely, the service amazing, atmosphere warm, and the food is delectable. It is one of our family favourites, and the staff handled the Covid-19 situation perfectly. The schnitzel with hollandaise sauce is one of the best items on the menu, and the kid's section offers simple, but tasty dishes for the children. This restaurant is lovely for visitors and residents, and if you love beautiful presentation, of both food and restaurant, this is the place for you! :

Well, it's out a bit from Mainz, and you might want to use the GPS to make sure you find it (once you turn on the minor road, it's a km down it through the woods, and then you find the parking lot). I will say this, it's a small parking lot and you might have to park on the wooded road itself. Food? I ate very well (rumpsteak), and the salad was five star. Tables were set up outside (nice spring day), and it was a great atmosphere. Professional staff. It was chaotic (full at 5:30 in afternoon). Make reservations if on Friday or Saturday evening. Serves primarily German food. Does pizzas. Should note, they serve a late breakfast, with menu showing several options. Ver carta
