Cafe Amici - Menú

Lovely breakfast. Had salmon and scrambled egg toast and a coffee. Good service. Warm comfortable atmosphere. Good selection on the menu. We shall definitely return. Plenty of homemade cakes and bread.

Popped in for a coffee whilst waiting for photo developing (how very old fashioned! ..... Girl was lovely but the coffee is terrible. I ordered a flat white even though it's not on the menu but was very disappointed.

Having previously sung the praises of Amici I feel compelled to comment on the recent notable decline in food quality and atmosphere. I've visited three times since it started to falter and each visit has been equally disappointing.

As another reviewer has put...Oh Dear!! This place used to be fantastic, looks look they've changed owners, previously run by an Italian chef, now an English Breakfast bloke has taking over. The menu is the same, the cooking skills are not.

I have visited this cafe before, but only to have coffee and cake, which I have to say each time was very nice indeed. This time I had lunch which was very good. A decent sized sandwich on artisan bread with lots of filling, chips and salad. I also had a good coffee. It was served quickly too. Will be visiting again.

We've never had a bad meal here. The breakfast sandwiches, made with their home made breads are very tasty, and my husband loves their full English breakfast. The sandwiches are massive, with chips, as are the omelettes. There's always specials on the blackboard, and I usually take one of their home made cakes to eat later. The staff are lovely and friendly.

I have eaten in this cafe and also had take always. All occasions have been excellent the quality of food is outstanding both eating in and taking away. The service and staff are brilliant the owners should be very proud of their team. If I pull up for a take away they come out and serve me cause I am a wheelchair user, that to me is outstanding and appreciated.

I've been frequenting this eatery in its various incarnations for quite a few years but the current identity is by far my favourite yet. The primarily Mediterranean (and very authentic cuisine is fantastic the regular menu (breakfasts, hot cold sandwiches, pastas, pizza, omlettes, salad bowls, meat/cheese platters is supplemented with an array of tempting specials which often include fresh fish and seafood. Every single dish I've tried has been nothing short of delicious the salad bowls are my particular favourite, generous portions, super fresh and the garlic bread is wonderful. It was very quiet on my Saturday afternoon visit but it was really pleasant inside, a little on the small side but this could pass off as been exclusive. My only vice is the coffee wasn’t the hottest. On the counter there were the hugest domes of bread that really did look impressive, homemade and rustic. Being a huge lover of bread I was massively enticed to take one home to devour later, I resisted. The menu is classic, appetizers, bruschetta and pastas there was something modern but authentic about the dishes as well as an impressive specials board. I originally wanted a small snack but was drawn in by the bruschetta- chicken, salami and chili with a tomato sauce served with a side salad....
