"Ate here an evening in June with our two teenagers. The food was not good, we hade schnitzel which was ok and burgers that were terrible. But the worst thing was the rude waiter. Our daughter tried to be polite and asked for a pepsi...please and our son asked for a pepsi . When their drinks came our daughter´s drink was another colour and we asked nicely why as we thought it was something wrong with it. He said it was a pepsi spezi which we had never heard of. Now we understand it´s a common drink in Germany. But the thing is that we, once again nicely, said it must bee some kind of mistake as they both ordered regular pepsis and we wanted to change. The waiter answered, very rudely, your daughter ordered a pepsi spezi and that is what she has gotten . So we ended up not drinking the spezi and instead ordered one more pepsi for our daughter. In every decent restaurant the natural answer would have been of course you can switch to a regular pepsi, not a problem . I guess our daughter never will try to be polite again in German restaurants. No more please..."

Very cozy café with large terrace. Large cakes and cake selection. Prices higher than usual.

Avoid at all costs. Extortion prices. Hostile and common customer service. Mediocre food. Slowly as h. Nothing good to say about this place.

Rude and slow service, high prices, mistakes in order, moderate food. It's not worth spending your money here. Do a favor, go somewhere else.

Lovely area and location just across from the Mosel. Vety busy , but managed to get a table just before they closed. Lot of restaurants close quite early here. Food excellent

While touring Cochem is a lovely expirence it can get chilly in the cold months and I've found that Cochemer Jung is a great place to sit either inside or outside in their outdoor seating ( complete with warm blankets!) For a warm drink! Another added benefit is that the hotel's bathrooms are free and just downstairs from the cafe. Ver carta

"I read some reviews and heard from friends that this was thé place to eat in Cochem am Mosel, so we were very excited to find the restaurant near empty on our arrival as we had expected a wait. There was nobody to greet us as we walked in so after waiting politely waiting at the entrance for a bit we decided to seat ourselves awaiting the the host, waiter/waitress to come and greet us.It took another 5 minutes for the waitress to show up. As soon as she showed up she kindly requested us to move from the cozy booth-like spacious table to a smaller wooden table. Since the entire restaurant was empty, with the exception of one gentleman and it was about an hour before closing we did not see her point to keep the large table for non-guests so we kindly declined. The frauleins entire attitude changed and we could hear her screaming and yelling in the kitchen to the chef. She then proceeded to vent her grief to the other patron in German. One might imagine her surprise when I kindly informed her that I was able to understand her conversations ( I am Dutch so I understand the language ) and did not appreciate her treating us this way. Being used to American customer service I do lower my standards somewhat but to be told smack about a semi-professional in a small town restaurant in the middle of nowhere is not something I accept. We were looking forward to taste the local food but were quite frankly concerned that this would come with some non-sanitary condiments."
