En route pour la Côte d 'Opale, nous ne projetions pas de nous arrêter dans cet établissement... le hasard à bien fait les choses : l'accueil est sympa, le cadre accueillant et la cuisine familiale et goûteuse. Voilà une halte à mémoriser ! @

Extensive menu, fast, friendly service (seems the norm in this area :) ), large portions, good value for money. You can be in and out in 45 mins for a 2 course meal with wine & coffee, ifg you're in a hurry. In suitable weather, they have outside seating - the road is usually quiet enough & you can people-watch :) Ver carta

Petite brasserie dans le centre d'Hesdin; un plat du jour avec entrée et dessert à moins de 13 € avec une qualité plus que raisonnable; la patronne Christelle vous accueille chaleureusement avec un joli sourire, chose rare en ces temps ! la clientèle est composée d'habitués mais l'ambiance est excellente, tout le monde discute, on est comme chez soi; le soir il arrive que la patronne organise des soirées à thème ( artiste patoisan etc...) j'y retournerais sans problème; à découvrir car on sent une véritable envie de satisfaire le client !!!

Most customers are propping up the bar having their elevenses when we go in. Alien to British eyes is the sight of little old men sipping elegant glasses of chilled Rosé. But this is France and obviously far more civilised than us Brits. You can sit outside on the pavement overlooking the square with the war memorial and watch the drifts of cherry blossom cover the pavement in pink. Ì Perhaps that's what inspired the gentlemen propping up the bar? But it's a little bit chilly so we find a table inside. The lady smiles nicely as she brings my coffee. There's a bistro laid for lunch behind the bar. Two courses for 13€40. Very reasonable

We went to have lunch after a wonderful morning looking for bargains together in the market on Thursday . After putting everything into the car we headed to are favourite place locally for lunch. Our neighbours came too as we wanted to say thank you dog sitting the week before. We were greeted with smiles and looked round to see plenty of locals eating happily. After ordering drink we had roast cockerel in beer or slow roasted pork. The starter was pate with salad or boiled egg, Sara wanted a tomatoe salad because she didn't like either of the starters , they were happy to accommodate this . After are food arrived with plenty of fresh hand cooked chips and salad we had more wine. The deserts... Ver carta
