extensive menu, faster, friendly service (see the norm in this area), large portioning, good price-performance ratio. they can be in and out in 45 minutes for a 2 curs meal with weinkaffee when they are in a hurry. in suitable weather,...they have outside seats the road is in the quiet enough, they can observe people Ver carta

I'm surprised this is the first review for Le Richelieu. A short walk from the Place d' Armes in Hesdin (where many restaurants are to be found) we have passed this little corner cafe/bar /brasserie many times. Today we took the the plunge. A warm...welcome heralded a good lunch from a two course menu €13.20 for either entree/plat or plat/dessert. Nothing fancy, but generous and wholesome fare served piping hot and with a smile. The pommes frites were outstanding. Le Richelieu is now on our list of Hesdin haunts.

although the waitress did not speak English, the greeting was good to understand. we and our rettung greyhound were shown on our table with a smile, and although the menu was limited to 2 table d’hote options for each of the three courses available were...not difficult to make and at only 13 euro for a starter main course or main course dessert for quality food you could not go wrong. my man decided to pate and the pork capital and I chose an endive salatstarter and a cattle tagine. the meeting in both was made melt in mouth and the sauces tasty. we're coming back.

most customers propping the cash with their elevenses when we go. alien to British eyes is the sight of small old men who immerse elegant glasses of chilled rosé. but this is frank and obviously much more civilized than we are bridging. they can. outside on the pavement with a view of the square with the war monument and watching the drifts of the cherry blossom covered the pavement in pink. but it's a little cool, so we'll find a table inside. that smiles beautifully as she brings my coffee. behind the bar is a bistro to lunch. two courses for 13€40. very reasonable Ver carta

Most customers are propping up the bar having their elevenses when we go in. Alien to British eyes is the sight of little old men sipping elegant glasses of chilled Rosé. But this is France and obviously far more civilised than us Brits. You can sit outside on the pavement overlooking the square with the war memorial and watch the drifts of cherry blossom cover the pavement in pink. Ì Perhaps that's what inspired the gentlemen propping up the bar? But it's a little bit chilly so we find a table inside. The lady smiles nicely as she brings my coffee. There's a bistro laid for lunch behind the bar. Two courses for 13€40. Very reasonable

We went to have lunch after a wonderful morning looking for bargains together in the market on Thursday . After putting everything into the car we headed to are favourite place locally for lunch. Our neighbours came too as we wanted to say thank you...dog sitting the week before. We were greeted with smiles and looked round to see plenty of locals eating happily. After ordering drink we had roast cockerel in beer or slow roasted pork. The starter was pate with salad or boiled egg, Sara wanted a tomatoe salad because she didn't like either of the starters , they were happy to accommodate this . I love this place the style of cooking is traditional and the atmosphere is busy and local . The food is fresh and looks simple but the flavour and service is always a delight. It is good value and I've had meals every time that...were all excellent. You often look round at other people eating and think next time I will try that , so we go back and we do ! The staff are helpful and are always pleased to see us. I take my friends in to have a meal as I know they will enjoy it as much as we do. The French fries are especially good with wonderful freshly cooked potatoes. The desserts are always fresh and homemade and a joy to eat.
