"Firstly, If I could give this no stars I would!! The man behind the counter was so friendly when we first approached but it was a bit too friendly, came across as quite desperate for customers (restaurant was empty) this should have been the first red flag! He kept pushing the bacon and avocado baguette and the garlic chips! We decided to stay to eat and my sister ordered the bacon and avocado baguette with garlic chips and I ordered the same baguette he was so pushy, do you want chips, “no” do you want coleslaw “no” I just want a baguette!! The tables were all sticky and clearly not wiped down for new customers. Inside was so dark and dingy so we moved tables to the outside area in the mall! The food arrived and it was an absolute disgrace! The baguette was as dry as a bone, no butter, the bacon was the pre packed already cooked nasty tasting stuff and we had 2 minuscule pieces of avocado inside not at all worth the nearly 10 quid we paid! I went inside to complain and ask for a refund and that’s when the very friendly guy turned really nasty, shouting and in our face, couldn’t believe it!! He was so rude telling me everything has gone up and that’s why he has to give so little inside the baguettes, he did refund us in the end but that is more because we were making a scene and quite frankly he was probably embarrassed of the food that came out of his restaurant (sorry cafe) if it is even worthy of calling itself that!! Honestly there are many other nice sandwich bars in Croydon you don’t need to put yourself through that!!"

We settled on this cafe for brunch, since as being new to Croydon, we didn't really know our way around. We received a warm welcome and were more than happy with the service and food.

Cafe Classic, located on the 1st Floor of a nearby mall, is one of the many places you can stop by for a snack. We enjoyed a coffee and a croissant, both of which were quite pleasant.

This was the worst experience I have ever had in a café. The owner was very rude and aggressive. I will never go back. Their behavior was absolutely disgusting and the owner was very ill-mannered.

I like it here. It’s no budget option but the snacks and drinks are of high quality. Don’t understand the bad reviews about the staff as I have found them polite and helpful always (they’re cute as well). I would certainly recommend.

My daughter and I visit this small cafe whenever we go shopping to Croydon. The food is fresh and delicious and they have a vegan option too. Today my daughter had spinach and ricotta lasagne and I had salmon and mushroom pasta. Both dishes were brilliant as was the service.

Kept trying to suggest you buy all manner of extra food, chips, salad ….we only wanted sandwiches. First asked where they prepare food then at till. Massive overkill. We had plastic plates although others had proper ones. No Diet Coke nothing except water. It is very expensive and I happened to say that and a staff member was having lunch and heard me and rudely scowled at me several times. So unnecessary

One of the most distressing humiliating experiences I have ever had in a public service business. My husband and I went there today whilst shopping and while ordering food I simply asked the lady if there would be somewhere to sit when it was ready as the place was full. She began to berate me by shouting and drawing attention to the fact that I wanted a seat and then tried to humiliate me by calling for one of the waiters to “find this lady a seat”. Not satisfied with that she then said to the person following me in the queue that “some people think we are robots not humans” in a very loud voice. We walked out I was so distressed I burst into tears. I will never go there again and will tell...
