Cafe Del Sol - Carta

We liked the Interieur and the square. The stuff was friendly. Unfortunately the food was just average. Nothing special. Simple kitchen. We come back for drinks.

Das ehemalige Spital beherbergt jetzt das Cafe del Sol. Die Meterpizza, welche man mit der Schere schneiden kann ist eine tolle Idee. Jedoch hatte ich auch schon bessere Pizza.

Ein Alptraum. Das Schlechteste Essen in Wiesbaden. Even the worst basics ever. Cesars Salad ist ein mit Salatsauce zugekippter Salat. Ei oder Anchovis oder Dijon Senf? Keine Spur davon. Junkfood. Nothing more Man schämt sich für seine Gäste. Ver carta

The interior of the place looks promising when you enter but then, the positive things end.I was here with a larger group so this already explains part of the poor findings.The place serves schnitzel but it's topped with a way too fat sauce. The meat itself is also far from the good schnitzel you find in Germany.The beer from the tap was on top of it all flat as dishwaher water...

Whenever we can't decide on a place to eat we find ourselves dining here. This restaurant has a little bit of everything...pizzas, soups, salads, Vegan, Thai curry, burgers, pastas, breakfast foods, and much much more! The restaurant can accommodate a lot of people. The indoor seating consists of 2 floors and there is a large outdoor seating area. The food is pretty good but the reason we keep dining here is because it is conveniently located and has a variety of food. Ver carta

Ich finde das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis passt nicht. Ich habe einen Salat bestellt für immerhin knapp 9€ der nur sehr sparsam bestückt war. Auf Nachfrage ob ich nur Pech habe oder der Salat immer so serviert wird (2 Cocktailtomaten, eine sehr kleine Menge Nüsse usw) nahm man den Salat mit in die Küche und brachte ihn mir zurück mit den Worten: der Salat wird immer so serviert. Ich hatte erwartet dass man ihn etwas aufwerten würde, aber das war wohl nichts. Leider mein einziger und letzter Besuch hier.

Am ehemaligen Kochbrunnenplatz sitzt man nun mal seit Jahrzehnten schön. Das Café Del Sol hat das aufgewertet durch hübsche Bestuhlung und auch ein nettes Ambiente. Auch der Kellner, der selten vorbei kam, sieht unglaublich gut aus. Das ändert nichts an der Tatsache dass das Essen lange dauerte, die Tomatensuppe ihrem Namen kaum verdient, und ich mich frage, warum das jetzt Hipp sein soll. Die Kollegen genießt ihren Burger in der Tat. Das soll positiv erwähnt sein… Ich finde es traurig dass ein solcher Ort so wenig Service und Qualität bot.

I had the Avocado Cranberry Salad and it was tasty save for the fact it was drowned in the salad dressing and the avocado was frozen. Not sure why the avocado would need to be frozen since it's summer. I also had the mango-passion fruit drink. The mango chunks in the photo were much larger than what I got and it was just OK. My friend had the Hawaii pizza and it was meh...Not great and not awful. The bread served with my salad was soft and tasted very good. I ate too much bread trying to get the taste of salad dressing down. Since we dined in the evening we sat inside but close to the open large doors and windows on the park level. This gave some protection from the bugs, but not from the sm... Ver carta
