"It's a rainy day in Paris, and we had just spent the last two hours sight seeing on an open top bus. My wife said we should go for lunch before we set off on the long journey home. We made are way to the Cafe Des Banques were we had eaten two night before. The cafe was full of local business people and tourists, we requested a table for two and we were taken to a table inside away from those that were smoking outside. We ordered wine and pasta with chicken. The service was professional and the food to a good standard. When we are in Paris again we will certainly pay this cafe a visit. On leaving the sun came out just in time for our journey home. ☀️"

We found this place coming out of the rear exit from Pere Lachaise cemetery. Perfect stop for watching the world go by. Cheese toastie and mushroom omlete was the perfect lunch. Not overpriced, just good food and service.

After visiting Pere Lachaise, we were looking for a place we ate several years ago. We could not find it, so decided to get some wine and a bite to eat at this cafe. The waiters were helpful and the salad and cheese and charcuterie plate were wonderful and plentiful. The price was very good, especially considering the area. Ver carta

Only stopped here for a Drink or two, nice place to sit and watch the world go by in the Paris Suburbs a world away from the Tourist traps. The food we saw being served looked and smelled great but it wasn't the right time of the day for us. One minute walk from Gambetta Metro and Roundabout, as the name eludes to there are two banks next door. Nice place.

so, the service guy was mean, and didnt speak either french or english.we asked for 2 petits creams (small coffee with milk), he served 2 big ones. one of them had a hair on it, and he said: that he (server)has no hair, and bartender either, so basically he blamed it on us... and at the end he forced us to pay the 2 big coffes when we asked clearly for small ones. a place to avoid

We found this restaurant after our visit to Pere-Lachaise cemetery. We were only looking for a light bite so opted for a croque-monsieur (grilled ham and cheese sandwich) and a croque madame which is basically the same with a fried egg on top. The service was good and it is was good value for money considering what we would have paid in central Paris for a similar al fresco dining experience. Ver carta

We visit Paris annually and on our visit in 2014, after visit to Pere Lachaise we came across this handy little eaterie at Lunch time - and what a lovely surprise such tasty food at a very reasonable prices - went back for dinner also delighted. This year also had two meals there : the quality, quantity and excellent service remain: If you are on a budget I highly recommend the Plat(s) du Jour, and vin Maison, i.e.the set Menus. Excellent.

We spent a few hours wandering about the Père Lachaise cemetery, and stopped here to have a drink and a snack before returning to the city center. We sat outside and did a little people-watching. Only ordered lemonade and the pastry of the day, which was a wonderful apricot tart. Our server didn't speak much English, but we did just fine with my limited knowledge of French. Nice service, lovely snack. Close to cemetery and the Gambetta Metro stop.
