Cafe Grounded Brislington

We come here a lot and the staff are really friendly, several times we have even been given a plate of cakes which we hadn't paid for.

I have visited this restaurant multiple times in the past year. The food is consistently good and the service is top-notch. It always appears to be quite busy.

I've dropped down to a 3 from a 5 because I was absolutely shocked to see a dog eating at the table out of a bowl that a human would eat out of. Hygiene standards, I was not impressed. Ver carta

Thanks Steve and the team for making our daughters birthday pizza party extra special. She and her friends had a great time and the parents really enjoyed it too! Recommend to anyone looking for a children's party.

We attended a pizza party for my daughter at this restaurant. She and her friends had a fantastic time. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and patient. The kids all loved their pizzas. We will definitely be recommending this place to our friends.

Got a chicken burger and the chicken strips (four) were too large to have a sandwich (better than not enough), but they had been over cooked and the quality of of fries there were old dark mouldy bits. Overall experience of having to pick through burgers and make sure you don’t eat blackened fries. Not great!! A new menu supposedly, let’s hope it’s not come with a new chef as well, because it’s really not great. I am writing this review to urge the owners of this restaurant to provide more support for their serving staff. During our visit on a busy weekend night, every table was occupied and there was only one young female server who was working hard to keep up with the long line at the bar. She was friendly and professional, but clearly needed help due to the high number of customers. It is important to ensure that the staff, especially young employees, are properly supported and that there are enough people on duty to handle tasks such as changing barrels and refilling sauces during busy times.

We live locally and have had a few hit or miss experiences with Grounded. We've never found the staff to be particularly welcoming or friendly, and the food has been average at best. Went today and ordered two rounds of pancakes one with bacon, one with strawberries. Predictably, two with bacon arrived and I told the waitress we ordered one with strawberries. She took it back, before coming back again a minute later to say we didn't order one with strawberries, as though it was my problem. I'm a long term vegetarian so definitely didn't order two with bacon. The waitress was pretty stroppy about it all, took the pancakes back and reappeared a couple of minutes later having taken the bacon of...

Very interesting to read the last review as felt like our experience too. This is copied from my review in google: First off I will say that the food was excellent . It 's a bit confusing wether your are supposed to sit yourself or wait at the door etc, get your own menus or order at the bar? There 's a sign on the door saying #takeaway.... so we did thst but no one brought us a menu. After a while I noticed there were a few by the bar so my friend grabbed them and then at the bottom of the menu it does say order at the bar .
