"I was on my way to beautiful Reichardts Garden and got off the tram a little bit early. On my way in the Richard-Wagner-Str I came across this funny looking Café and ventured into it. The owner suggested that I sit outside in the garden. I ordered a plate of pasta with pesto and I had a glass of Mueller-Thurgau from the Saale-Unstrut region. Everything was fine and including an Espresso I paid less than 10,00 €. In the end the owner told me the story behind the full name of the café which is "Ludwig der Springer (Jumper)"."

Café Ludwig has long been one of my regular cafés in the city and I enjoy the times there. The coffee is super tasty, the rooms very cozy and Sascha is the friendly host who makes this place what it is: a great recommendation!

Great cafe in hall. Very nicely furnished and even a small garden in front of the house. The cake is delicious! Here you can also offer breakfast, which is absolutely fair. A visit is always worthwhile here. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Be it the breakfast on Saturday with mousse au chocolat, the living room concerts at candlelight or just now hot buckthorn juice and apple juice with cinnamon as well as raspberry cheese and chocolate powder cake to go (in so proper cake size! A small jewel in Halle's café scene. Always happy!
