Kinours is the local St Germain De Princay Restaurant/Pub and is popular with local workers as it specializes in providing lunches. These village Restaurants/Pubs are all around the Vendee area and provide mainly lunches and you have to make a reservation if you want to eat in the evening. Its plain fare but you can get a 4/5 course lunch with a bottle of wine for 11 euros and you usually have a few choices for the main course. We eat there once or twice a week and have an evening meal at least once a month. Would recommend as the food is good and light on the pocket!

I had read comments saying that the waitress did not stop much to accommodate, it must be said that this restaurant is held by a couple only, the gentleman in the kitchen and his wife doing the service alone. It's a friendly and friendly restaurant on the look (inside a farm inn, as you find it in the mountains ) in some areas. The couple that manages the restaurant is well organized. This is where the local tradesmen go for lunch. They sit in a room at the back, while most tourists sit outside in the shade. We arrived after one, so were asked to sit inside.It was a tasty four course repast. Melon, avacado with mayo and two pieces of charcuterie to start. Main was steak, chips and salad, but there were other choices including fish. Then an enormous cheeseboard to pick at. Finally, choice of desserts - creme caramel, cherry tart, mousse or various icecreams. Oh, and as much red wine as you could drink!
