"Three of us had pre ordered the traditional afternoon tea. One of us had arrived early but had to wait quite a while for someone to greet her and show her to the table. Once we were seated, it took a while for the waiting staff to come and find out what we wanted to drink. To be fair, once we had placed our orders, the drinks came quickly. We had to wait nearly half an hour for our pre ordered afternoon teas, even though the restaurant was far from busy. We were trying to catch the attention of the waiting staff but we joked that it felt like they had been trained not to catch our eye! Eventually, one came and said the teas would be out shortly, which they were. The croque monsieur and croque champignon were absolutely delicious and made a great change from traditional sandwiches. The scones were lovely and came with clotted cream and strawberry jam. The cakes, though, were a real disappointment: there was one lemon sponge cake with pieces of something in it but then two identical chocolate sponges. There was a real lack of variety as all were sponge cakes and two were exactly the same. I don't know whether they had run out of what should have been the third cake but no explanation was given. We would have expected perhaps a pastry or a gateau something to give a bit of variety. The afternoon tea should come with bottomless hot drinks. Again, though, no one came to wait on us and see if we needed refills and it took ten minutes of solidly trying to catch the eye of a member of waiting staff any waiting staff! to ask for our refills. Again, once we had requested them, they did come quickly. When the waiting staff were actually waiting on us, they were friendly and pleasant but were just not attentive enough to their customers, despite the restaurant not being busy. Would we come again and would we have this again? I'm unsure: we've had difficulties with waiting staff not being alert enough to the needs of their customers on a previous visit. The savoury aspects of the meal were really good but the sweet aspect was such a disappointment. I think I would only have it again if there were limited other options, staff were attentive to people waiting and I checked first what the cake options were."

Great Food, Lovely Fast service. French Onion Soup is our favourite followed by Mussels or Steak. Our server was Christophe he was welcoming , friendly and professional. We will be back soon

Great service from our 2 waitresses, Roxy and one other (sorry, didn't get name). I had a problem with my food and this was resolved quickly and professionally, with both girls being friendly and understanding. Well done.

Had lunch on a Sunday at thus place. The steak was so tough and stringy eve the knife vouldnt get through it. The chicken was dry and appeared like an old kept warm piece if poultry. Highly overpriced for such bad inedible food.

Went for a quick lunch stop whilst shopping, the restaurant was very busy and clearly short staffed but wanted to give a shout out to Zoe who served us. She was run off her feet and was still so kind and efficient. Food was delicious also. Thanks Zoe

An amazing experience! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Zoe was my server and made me feel very comfortable, just like she did with all the other guests. I ordered a sirloin steak and the chef cooked it perfectly. It was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this place if you are in the Bristol area.

My husband, two boys, and I decided to visit this restaurant using our Tesco vouchers. We hadn't been here in a while, but were disappointed by the limited menu options. The portion sizes were small and the food lacked flavor. I ordered the hand chicken with fries and a watery sauce for £15.95, while my husband had the beef bourgion for £18.35. Despite it being tasty, the portions were still unsatisfactory. We ended up going to a nearby cheap take away place for a more fulfilling meal.

We came out for dinner on Tuesday evening. The area was nice and cozy, not a lot of people but this is expected in a week day. Our waitress was Zoe, she was amazing, from getting us seated to taking our orders, she was really bubbly and appeared to be the only one who was taking care of other customers. Her customer service was superb, my husband and I were really impressed. Now talking about the food, we had garlic bread, chicken and pork liver pâté and calamari for our starters, then beef bougy(it’s a lot longer to spell and pronounce but it was beef cooked in wine with some bits of bacon and other things (was fab) then steak with chips and veggies It was a really nice evening, atmosphere...

I had always wanted to try Cafe Rouge and I am so happy I finally did. This was my first time trying French cuisine and I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the food was. I decided to order the Demi poulet with a side of French fries. As a chicken enthusiast, I found the meat to be juicy, tender, and flavorful. We visited yesterday for lunch. The noise from the other venues in the food court is annoying but if you sit near to the kitchen door it is better. We wanted use our tesco vouchers after a disastrous experience with Cafe Rouge in Bath a fortnight ago. We selected from the menu but found that the Prix Fixe and menus if the day were not available using the vouchers, only a la carte was available so we ordered the same items from that menu paying more than twice the price making the TESCO vouchers worthless).
