the location is very excellent and sitting in the outside area on the terraces is also pleasant. the service was friendly, but eating here has no restaurant quality, but they get that in any snack bar. here they only pay for the great look, but not for good eating. Ver carta

I remember this as a friendly café, a fun place to spend the evening. The food is s still alright, but I felt a bit as if it had been better if I had just handed my money over without having troubled the waiters or cooks. Service with a smile is certainly no longer part of their credo

for years a top location in hamburg, one must for each hamburger. in the middle of the city and yet very idyllic on the water. Thursdays with dj, good open-air party mood comes up. Here you can see and see the motto. The prices are unfortunately in the upper midfield. In the sun, you can let the soul budge and you can quickly get a holiday feeling.

about the super location they don't have to discuss. we had to wait 45 minutes for our food. we have asked several times, but we have not received any response from the waiters (cost problems? and when the waiters reacted with rudimentary reaction, this was highly unfriendly. to my advice that after more minutes waiting time they can reduce the bill by 10% came only a spoiled reaction. there are no better restaurants in the city park. Might be a better experience for locals but as two English speakers (with some basic German) it didn’t feel very welcoming. No one seemed to want to interact with us so we couldn’t work out if it was table service or order at the bar. When we did finally get seated and get menus it was all German, which was fine but took us a while to work out. We ended up leaving as everything seemed very expensive for what it was and they didn’t really have anything we wanted to eat.

The cafe is very well located along the Goldbek channel. You can see boats passing by, ducks, geese and other birds are looking for a snack or entertain their wee ones. One can choose between one of a few spaces in the shadow or enjoy the sun (if there’s any) Despite other opinions regarding the service and quality of the food I can only report positive points. Having tried the scampis and mozzarella caprese the outcome was very positive. Very delicious and great value for my money. The service was attentive. The facilities were also clean. Having talked to some friends who are regular visitors at the cafe the food and service are always on a good level.

update 4.5.15 in the second half: today the weather was not so bad, it was raining and was quite cool. Nevertheless, as a dog owner with his four-legged friend on the road before as I always say. we already know the most beautiful parks north of the elbes in hamburg and surroundings.
