Café so-british... Les pâtisseries nous font atterrir en Grande-Bretagne, belle terrasse. Par contre, l'expresso est en fait un vulgaire café filtre que l'on peut voir servie au pichet par la serveuse...

very nice place and great welcome! We stayed one night in the apartments on the floor (with a taste, it is very quiet and very pleasant) and we were able to enjoy the coffee on the ground floor. Very good English breakfast! The manager's couple is very nice. I recommend without hesitation! Ver carta

Very comfortable room, with a breathtaking view of the Loire. I arrived after opening hours. A key in a safe awaited me as well as a great meal. I was able to reheat this one in the shared kitchen. Stayed the night in a quiet, clean and charming room. Breakfast the next morning was eggs bacon and a flat white. A high quality and well prepared breakfast ! Amazing place run by an amazing team. Couldn’t unfortunately taste the food as I had heard so many good things about the menu (a good excuse to go back). The service was absolutely on spot, with a perfect mix of English smiley welcome and great French wine. They also rent rooms, and fix bicycles! passing through the area, we were looking for a restaurant for people without reservation and this little after surprise when we stopped in it, a friendly setting, with an original, authentic, homemade menu whose flavors were so fair. All of this for a fare of the most affordable, we could not hope to find better, which is why I allow myself to leave a trace to encourage and promote these places.

We stayed 2 nights as a rest stop on a EV6 ride. So glad we did. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with the added benefit of cooking and washing facilities. Breakfast at the Cafe was such a welcome break from the standard French fare, bacon and eggs and real coffee. We even decided to have lunch also. They even had Australian ginger beer. Excellent location, secure bike storage in a locked garage. Highly recommend.

I enjoyed a lovely stay with Charles and Anna at their bnb above the café this weekend. After a solo 215km ride from Melun, this was the perfect place to arrive. The accommodation was inviting and the food and service in the café was excellent a pulled pork bun and local beer when I arrived, pancakes the following morning, and then a bagel brunch after another short ride. It's clear that Café Velo is the hub for a great community in Nevers, and is not just for cyclists! Would recommend for anyone visiting or staying in that neck of the woods. Ver carta
