"we were a little in the reserve before coming and after consulting the menus. fortunately, we dared to push the door of this small restaurant whose beautiful decoration is a first pleasure. The welcome is courteous and warm. You feel welcome. The meal was excellent with just the originality it takes. all the coffee tea mouths with its mignardises were of quality, with pleasant flavors, pleasant presentations to the eye, sufficient portions. We loved everything. The service was up to the level. We enjoyed our non-reserved lunch."

"Serveress (patronne? very warm and helpful. The pins are also tasteful.Nevertheless, I find the Google note, to which we used to book, a little too high. The trims were not made at home: we had the right to green beans in box past to the box with some pieces of fried parsley from the supermarket. It’s also a shame for a dish at 15€ and worse for the menu at 26€ just the same... We didn’t take dessert for fear that they would be like the fillings: industrial. Finally, we were entitled to the remaining bread of the noon that was dry. "I didn't mean that, but it's just great for a refined meal and a good service (for rocks like us)... Ravioles in my way, stuffed with crayfish and Saint Marcellin, with its lobster cream, tomato jam. Fresh salmon with hazelnut butter, creamy risotto with mussels, saline sauce. I want to taste something else but it's too tempting... otherwise beef tartare is excellent, very good thank you products"

"The waiter was very friendly with a hint of humor which is rare nowadays. He told us that the restaurant was open this Sunday noon for the braderie, but that there were not all the à la carte dishes because he was only working with fresh products. We were happy with his honesty. The dishes were delicious and refined with a very good quality price ratio. We even had the good surprise to taste a small house patisserie. The boss is also very nice to whom we exchanged a few words. The atmosphere is warm. We recommend this address without hesitation! Bravo and continued like that!"

"Pass the bridge, turn right, push the door of this restaurant and I can tell you that you will not be disappointed. A friendly setting, a very good reception and for the restoration that to say... does nothing great because everything is excellent. For pizza conditions, you can order the eyes closed. The quality of pizza overclasses all other pizzerias on Nevers. The other dishes also give water to the mouth when you see them on the other tables and there you say you have to come back absolutely to taste them. And desserts hum!!! They admirably complete the meal. So don't hesitate for a second and check out this restaurant as you should be in the presence. You can't go through this establishment, it's not possible."

"following the good comments we decide to go to lunch on a Saturday in this restaurant that offers a very appetizing bistro menu. good service, good cuisine, small mignardise before the start of the meal. but she was not our disappointment when we decided to go back there on Saturday after! may be the peak time, but more mignardise before the meal (unlike the neighboring tables), a waitress that we clearly feel boring and that at the time of the bill told us: you take it down like that you can leave now. pressed by time, we ask if it is possible to be served to leave before 2:00, even the time of reflection that she answers us ah no it is not possible. Little anecdote, the table in front of us received his dishes while they had not even had their entrance! No excuses. Once our dishes have arrived (day menu and duck) we notice that our plate for the menu of the day is not the same as that of the table next to (almost garnished and side of pork smaller and less well cooked), and that the duck magret is clearly smaller than the last time and very poorly cooked. total disappointment, we will not return to this restaurant where the quality of the service depends on the arrival time and the customer's head (of the wallet)!"

"A restaurant with simple food done with finesse and care. There was a daily menu that suited the season and provided a choice of stater, mains and dessert. A wine list of carefully chosen regional wines complemented the food well. From the the jocular waiter to the busy kitchen, which is open to view, this is bright and cheery spot for lunch and justifiably full. Very good value. The chilled apricot compote with ice cream was a delight."

"This restaurant is always busy for lunch and dinner, so reserve before arriving. If you are visiting France for the first time be aware that restaurants do not “turn over” tables 2.5 times as they do in North America. The table is yours for the evening so people take their time and enjoy their meal. This means you often wait for service. Add to that a shortage of employees across the country so you’d better get used to conversing with your lunch or dinner partner. Service was friendly and though the specialty is seafood and fish, I ordered the “faux Charolais filet”. In France steak is cooked less than what you order they refuse to cook it medium well or well done. It’s the way it is. The steak was grilled and tasted properly aged which means it was more tender than the average and the “sauce bleu” was excellent as were the fries. My partner ordered Sandre fish (Zander) also quite tasty in a sauce that was rich and delicious. The appetizer (called entree in France) was the Bavarian goat cheese salad which is a house specialty delicious. My partner had the salmon in lime juice which he enjoyed. Dessert was sorbet from the fabulous Les Glaces Artisanale best available in this country."

"Nous y sommes allés pour dîner. Déjà le cadre n'est pas très enchanteur.. Murs de pierre peints en blanc laqué plastifié et décoration sommaire et plutôt triste (vieilles plantes séchées...). Les serveuses courent dans tous les sens et l'on remarque bien que cela ne doit pas traîner... Nous avons commandé deux pizzas, une Végétarienne et une Esméralda. Environ dix minutes plus tard nous étions déjà servis.. La pâte n'est pas terrible, les bords sont trop cuits et le coulis de tomate de nappage de base est fade et pas de bonne qualité... Nous ne pouvons juger qu'en rapport de ces deux pizzas pour lesquelles nous nous sommes pas régalés. En plus, on ne nous a même pas proposé de serviteur de parmesan et en regardant il est également absent sur les tables des clients ayant commandé des pâtes..pas commun pour une pizzéria.. Nous avons déjà testé la pizzéria "San Rémo" se trouvant également en centre ville à environ 150 mètres. ll n'y a aucun doute, les pizzas y sont bien meilleures et dans un cadre bien plus beau. Nous vous invitons à y aller..."

"I enjoyed a lovely stay with Charles and Anna at their bnb above the café this weekend. After a solo 215km ride from Melun, this was the perfect place to arrive. The accommodation was inviting and the food and service in the café was excellent a pulled pork bun and local beer when I arrived, pancakes the following morning, and then a bagel brunch after another short ride. It's clear that Café Velo is the hub for a great community in Nevers, and is not just for cyclists! Would recommend for anyone visiting or staying in that neck of the woods."

"We had a 12.5 Euro Menu Du Jour ( Menu of the day ) and we added a red wine pitcher for 5 Euro.For the first course we had Russian Salad and Terrine.For the second course we had Andouillette Grillée ( Grilled traditional french sausage ) and Lapin Sauce Moutarde ( Rabbit in mustard sauce ) and Peas with Ham.Then we had some cheese and for dessert we had Tarte aux Pommes and Flan.At the end we had a strong coffee.It sounds good and interesting, but the taste was just average, what a pity."

"I highly recommend that it be a must-see address if you are looking for a low price food and quality on Nevers! The meat that comes from Morvan is prepared by the butcher Eric DULAT (13th line). We have the choice between burgers, wraps, paninis, cold sandwiches, quiche/pizza parties, croque-monsieurs, pasta, salads composed or simple (green salt, truffle or grated carrots, ... not to mention all desserts (viennoiseries, fruit salads, white cheeses, ... and drinks (cafés, teas, chocolates ... The menus burger fries drink are offered at 9.90€ 1€ with some desserts It is open all day from 8am to 9:30pm Monday to Friday and from 8:30am to 8:30pm on Saturday. We can book and eat on site or withdraw. In addition, we are very welcome."

"We choose to sit outside where we could watch the passing scene. The service was prompt, the menu extensive and the experience pleasant. As with any crêperie, the menu is divided into meal crêpes and dessert crêpes. There were three of us and we each chose a different crêpe salée (meal crepe). All were happy with their choice and the servings were generous. We shared a crêpe sucrée for dessert--we were too full to order separate desserts. The drink menu was very adequate--cider by the jug, wine and a nice variety of beers. One word of warning, eating outside leaves one vulnerable to insects--especially wasps. Not a problem if you leave them alone. All in all a very very good choice with tasty food."

"1ère fois depuis le changement de propriétaires. J'ai choisi le filet de volaille et mon amie une salade. Mon plat était très sympa et bon bien qu'il aurait pu être servi un peu plus chaud. La salade était raisonnablement copieuse. Dessert pour moi un fromage blanc encore une fois agréable et sans chichi. L'addition était correcte, le service agréable et souriant. Un repas sympa, rapide et agréable. Un endroit à recommander pour une pause repas."

"We took some food to run away. We have nothing to say about value-price ratio. hats were well-stocked, including meat. Everything was well seasoned and good. there were bonuses of some shrimps (believable) in the package. reception in the restaurant to recover the order was very respectful, the restaurant is clean. We recommend without hesitation."
