"This restaurant in Lincoln serves the best wood-fired pizza. I would even consider it one of the best in Italy! Simone, the host, is incredibly friendly and you can truly feel the passion he has for this place. The staff are also kind, friendly, and competent, showing their own passion for what they do. Simone offers a wide range of menu options with ingredients of the highest quality, sourced locally when possible. The restaurant perfectly combines Italian tradition with the flavors of Lincolnshire. This is definitely my favorite place to eat!"

Fantastic salad options with infinite choices of toppings. I went for chicken, mozzarella and avocado with roast veg...so delicious. Top marks Portico as I have so often found salads to be a wet lettuce affair.

I really enjoy this restaurant. The food and atmosphere are wonderful. However, I was let down to see a dog inside. I do not have any issues with dogs, but I do not want to feel obligated to be around them while I am trying to enjoy my meal. Ver carta

I made a reservation for dinner here and was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is off the beaten path, so it didn't seem to attract too many tourists. The food was delicious and the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our experience so much that we decided to book for our last night in the city.

We hired out Caffe Portico to celebrate a 30th birthday, from the time we made the booking to the end of the evening celebrations the staff did all they could to make the celebrations go without a hitch and accommodated our music, lights and dancing! Delicious freshly made pizzas were brought out throughout the night. Thank you Sim and the team x

"A place not to miss. There were 9 of us and the staff were fabulous- great service, food was amazing and they have a licence now too. Highly recommend the sharing boards, any of the pastas, and the tiramisu is the best I've ever had although there was so much of it even I had to admit defeat"

"Last Friday, I celebrated my 70th birthday with family and friends, and it was an unforgettable experience. The menu offered a wide variety of appealing options, making it difficult to choose, but when the meals arrived, they were excellent. And the desserts... wow! The owner and his staff were incredibly friendly and allowed my daughter to decorate our table with confetti, banners, and balloons. The young lady who served us even brought out a cake with candles, adding a special touch to the celebration. This is a genuine Italian restaurant, with outstanding food and service. I highly recommend it!"

"when we arrived, there was a 15 min waiting for a table for 4 people. that in my head was a good thing, and what can I say, but I was right. I go out for dinner and give a 5-star rating without being a bit generous, but in this case I don't have to be generous. this is really a 5-star evaluation site. the price is reasonable and this is reflected in the size of the drank. large but not too large and very fillable. the selection was good overall for lunch and tea and coffee selection was then expected to be bigger. simply note that no alcohol is served here, but is not needed, as the environment is excellent and the ethos of the caffe supports. eating was great and the selection of meat and vegan food was good. the face of the children on the sight of the child afternoon was one of the excitement, especially when you see the size of the cake. the burgerpatties were thin, but wide, homemade, like all food, cooked in a juicy juicy condition. the nuggets were diceed chicken pieces so quality from the beginning, batter was slightly spiced and cooked for perfection. not greasy or soggy or too much for the meat. best nuggets I've ever had. if they like cake and coffee, this is also the place for them with the sizes of the cake portions they will take a few home, and it is worth it. as they can say, we really enjoyed eating and put in a place that is modern with a classic touch that I felt relaxed and that eating fits the venue."

"A real hidden gem! I was recommended this restaurant by a blogger on Instagram and I am SO glad that we managed to fit dinner here on our trip to Lincoln. The food is exceptional we had the arancini balls, tempura beans, chicken burger and cheese burger all were full of flavour and a little bit special. The service was faultless and extremely efficient the wait staff seemed to take it in turns to rotate round the tables constantly so we were well tended to throughout. They were so welcoming and warm too. Finally, the ambiance is chilled, low key but classy. You need to go!!"
