Caleys Brasserie - Carta

The food was good, but although the restaurant wasn't very busy it took a lot of time to get out food and the waitress got our order wrong. Although this was quickly fixed.

This was my second visit to this restaurant and it did not disappoint. I brought my father here for a little birthday treat and the staff were so lovely, ensuring that we had a great time. The food was delicious and I really appreciate the lovely atmosphere of this restaurant.

Alka and Angelika and the rest of the team looked after us very well. Nothing was any trouble and they were friendly and attentive. The food was most enjoyable and plentiful and one of our party’s special dietary requirements well catered for. Would recommend Caley’s for a good quality value for money afternoon tea. Ver carta

Our server, Mrs A. Patel was OUTSTANDING! She is the reason for this review. I think her first name was Alka or Alpa. Her last name was Patel. She was so attentive and thoughtful and really took care of our table of 4. If I come back, it's because of her! Food was good, we had a lovely table and the Jasmine tea is excellent.

We had booked in advance and were lunching with friends over from the US. We were hoping for a meal, but the choice on the menu was sandwiches or Burgers. We opted for sandwiches; waited a long time for the food, when it turned up, the presentation was poor, the bread looked like it was the end of a loaf, tiny bit of salad and crisps. We had a desert which was better quality. Waiter very pleasant; however, will not book again.

I give this restaurant a five-star rating! The hotel is beautiful and has a lovely bar and restaurant with a friendly staff. I have started coming here regularly on Friday nights for their 2 for 1 cocktails, which are top quality and come with great service. I also decided to try their restaurant and had a wonderful experience. The food was not only well presented but also delicious, especially the Wild Cod dish. The waiting staff were very pleasant however there was a new lady (2nd day) and she was very nice however a bit to overboard and we found the service a little over powering. we were the only people in for afternoon tea, it would of been nicer if there would of been more customers in the restaurant, although that is no fault of the hotel. There wasn't any music playing of what we could hear to add to the ambiance. Also for paying £30.00 and having 1 round of sandwiches for two people was a little disappointing along with the bought in cakes (Brakes). I think i was expecting something a little more.

The service at this restaurant was subpar. Despite making a reservation for 5 people through Open Table, the staff claimed they had no record of it. It took them 10 minutes to seat us, even though the restaurant was not busy. The server seemed indifferent and unhelpful, as if they were doing us a favor by taking our orders or answering our questions. The only positive aspect of our experience was the food, which was exceptional. It seems like they rely on the quality of their dishes to bring in customers, rather than focusing on customer service. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this establishment.

Really disappointing afternoon tea. We were the only people in the vast restaurant. Arriving we were greeted by a lovely waitress who was Unfortunately finishing her shift. Scones were okay six scone yet only two small pots of jam. Sandwiches were okay nothing special. Cakes were basically the same. No pastries, tarts or meringues. All little sponge cakes. At £30 head I would have expected much better quality. Toilets were ghastly. Each cubicle was dirty and looked as though had not been cleaned for a week! It’s supposedly a highly rated hotel again one would have expected the toilets to be monitored… and reiterate we were the only people there! The only member of staff we saw was the one we... Ver carta
