"We had been on our feet since early morning, first in Coburg, and then in Bamberg. It was dinnertime, and we were looking for a nice place to rest, eat good food, and get out of the hot sun. Casa Italia fit the bill and more! They had the front windows thrown wide open, and we got a table right in the window. We were out of the direct sun, yet could enjoy the mild breeze of the early evening. We ordered a pizza (they come in only one size, which was somewhere between a small and medium pizza here in the US), and some pasta. Given that there were only 2-3 other tables you would have thought that the wait wouldn't be that long, but we were enjoying the people watching so it went by quickly. The food was excellent - the pizza and pasta both were very much enjoyed and we ate every last bite. We had stopped at a bakery in late afternoon and picked up some dessert items, so after we ate dinner we brought out our bakery and finished it off then with no issue. It was a nice, enjoyable way to end our day in Bamberg."

Bamberg, un sitio de la UNESCO, encanta con arquitectura medieval y su icónica cerveza ahumada, Rauchbier. Platos sabrosos como Schäuferla (paleta de cerdo) y la salchicha francona son destacados culinarios locales.
