We loved this restaurant: located at the beginning of the Via Appia Antica, with a beautiful garden, a very professional and friendly service, a delicious potimarron velvet was offered to us in amuse, meats and grilled vegetables were really good. a nice discovery! we ended up here by chance on Sunday after a walk in the park of the catacombs of San Sebastiano on the Appia Antica. the restaurant has outdoor tables under a delightful pergola, it is isolated from the road because it is located on a quiet hill. It doesn't feel like Rome! It is convenient because it has its own internal parking. we ate very well, complimenting both the spaghetti with clams and bottarga and the calamarata with seafood. The fried fish is also good. the lady who runs the restaurant is attentive to detail and welcoming. we will definitely be back.

The turtles, are what saves this place 1 star. The over priced abysmal salad, which offered very little salmon, infact they were small chopped pieces I would expect to find at a convenience store in the deli meat section. When an Italian restaurant advertises a salmon salad that is charged €14 for, I expect a little more flair. But this was just lettuce, tomato and small diced salmon bits. I’ve had better boxed salads for less the price. My wife’s pasta (chefs special) btw was seriously over cooked. It was mushy. Who wants mushy pasta in Italy? I suggest staying away from this over priced tourist trap and buy yourself a can of chef Boyardee because even that can be a better tasting experienc...

The restaurant itself is in a secluded area that most likely is beautiful during summer, with grape wines on top of the outside seating area, a lot of greenery and even a pond with live turtles hence a star for atmosphere, however when we were seated we were given quite stained water wine glasses and not polished cutlery as well. The main menu had crumbs stains on it too, and the paper wine list had dry wine drops over it. The place only had a few tables in at the time so they definitely could've cleaned everything properly. The menu list was quite large which is already quite alarming for a restaurant as that means most food is not served fresh. We asked for recommendations and the waitress...
