"This restaurant is a lot of fun as they have a variety of board games available to play. We enjoyed playing two cooperative word games with a group of six for just over two hours, paying £3 for the games. The staff were helpful in recommending games and they offer vegan options for starters, mains, sides, and desserts, similar to pub food. Some menu items include chilli fries, a beyond meat burger, milkshakes, and hot drinks. The vegan chocolate milkshake was particularly delicious, although it did come with a £5 price tag. I highly recommend this place. They require guests to wear masks when moving around and only allow one person on the board game shelves at a time, which I appreciate. Update from previous review on January 6, 2022."

Always so much choice every time I go. Vast majority of the menu can be veganised. Vegan alcohol also available.

An beautiful little hole in the wall type place. An amazing collection of games and very tasty food selection. The staff were all incredibly friendly too

I was unable to taste the food as they had already closed when we got there. However, I did try one of their alcoholic vegan milkshakes and it was amazing. Ver carta

Came here on a rainy afternoon expecting to only play an hour or 2, ended up staying for 4 hours. Great selection of games, nice big tables to play on and a good food and drink selection!

I was pleasantly surprised to find excellent vegan choices at this restaurant. The gaming sessions are budget-friendly, and you can enjoy coffee with plant milk, cake, sweets, and other vegan options like loaded fries, cauliflower wings, and burgers. The food is delicious, and my favorite is the garlic bread loaded fries.

Visited expecting a quick coffee and stayed 2 hours (for £3 per person) as the staff recommended excellent games suited to the aspects we asked for. Great range of games (from quick novelty card games to story-based strategy games) and good vegan options, especially for drinks/sweet treats. Only downside is that the food was pricier than expected. Ver carta

We have been going to chance and counters since it opened and have seen major improvements recently, especially with the food quality. The vegan options are insane, so many options and all of them absolutely delicious. It's the standard of a stand alone restaurant. We had the black bean tacos, oyster mushroom buffalo wings, dirty fries, and a burger. All perfect, I'd come here just for the food to be honest! And as always, the service is fantastic. Super friendly and helpful, incredibly knowledgeable of the games. Just all around a great experience.

Good concept if you enjoy board games you will have a great time here. Good idea for a date night perhaps as there are tons of games to select from as in hundreds. However the dessert served unfortunately left a negative impact on my visit. It was the brownie option and it was chunks of brownie which were solid I couldn’t eat them. It seemed like they had been left out and gone stale completely inedible. And there was a drop of ice cream. Fortunately it was taken off the bill. The burger was nice. Fries were served cold. If you go here for the gaming maybe just avoid the food or at least the desserts!

"It was the most bizarre experience dining here. First when we arrived in the restaurant, our group set up was that there was someone on each end who was sitting facing an empty chair on the other side of the table. Upon enquiry we understood it was a covid measure, however never had any other restaurants requesting such seating arrangements in the past 20 months. We ordered two split pots, a non-spicy broth for one side of the pot and a spicy broth for the other side. The staff came to confirm that we wanted spicy/non-spicy in each pot. Yes, we said. To our shock when the pots came, one pot was spicy/spicy on both side, and the other was non-spicy/non-spicy on both sides. This was after the staff had came by to confirm that we wanted a spicy/non-spicy set-up, and in the usual situation a person wanting a spicy broth would not have asked for a split pot. We raised this to the staff and were clearly unhappy about it, though did not insist on having the broths changed around. What happened next made it the most awkward and uncomfortable dining experience ever. From where we were sitting, we could hear the owner reprimanding the staff for the error, throughout our meal. We understand mistakes occur and if the owner was unhappy about the mistake and genuinely wanted to apologise, taking the initiative to change the broth to the right setup, or a complimentary drink or dish would have gone a long way. But no, he chose to reprimand the staff within our hearing for the whole dinner (which didn't help the situation one bit and made the experience worse! . We felt sorry for the staff. Even with the hospitality shortage, that was a completely wrong way to help the staff improve, nor help retain them in the long run. I don't remember anything about the food, although photos did show a good range to choose from. At the end of the meal we each received a box of hello panda, which might have helped, if not for the fact they were expired. All in all, would not recommend."
