Chez Dang - Carta

The food tasted like canned/jarred, pre-made, asian aisle supermarket food. Very tasteless, or the kind of taste you would expect from a jar of KanTong mixed with some steamed veggies. Avoid.

Came here because of the tripadvisor reviews. The service was good, and they understood gluten free without a problem. I had a green curry that was above average, with duck that was absolutely superb. Would definitely visit again!

Chez Dang serves a great variety of Asian food. The soup as starter and a curry as main course was excellent. Very good price for this high quality food. Can be busy here so make sure to make a reservation or be there a bit early. Ver carta

The menu is huge and very detailed. With many dishes you can choose fish/meat or vegetarian. I took a crepe with salmon. It was very tasty and affordable. We went with a big group and the waiter was friendly and very well organized.

Cheap prices, excellent fusion of french and Vietnamnese food...very fresh ingredients and cool smoothies...The only thing not too great is the location itself...it is really small and the tables in front of the restaurant are unstable because the sidewalk itself is unstable...be careful with you drinks...they might fall...

We stumbled across this place by accident and were attracted by the waiter eating out front. We chose two different dishes from the menu and both were excellent. We went back for coffee too as having been to Vietnam before, it's something we missed. Everything we had at Chez Dang was truly authentic and delicious, not to mention very reasonably priced. I must have been here over 20 times! Minimalist, cozy and unpretentious. The food is Vietnamese with a slight Cambodian/Laotian twist. The place is fantastic for vegetarians as pretty much everything on the menu can come with tofu rather than meat. The prices are cheap, the service fantastic, the restaurant is clean yet rustic... and English menus are available for non German speakers. Always pay attention to the daily specials too if eating at lunch time!Starters can be on the large size, so I'd only order these when you are really hungry!

I visited here with a group of friends during a recent visit to Berlin. One of our friends, who lives in Berlin, recommended the restaurant and came with us.He had told us lots about the restaurant and it didn't disappoint! A large number of our group were vegetarians and there was lots of choice. The food was typical Vietnamese and was really tasty. I had a tofu and noodle dish with chilli. It was fantastic.The decor inside is very minimalist but the food shines through! I can see why our friend visits here on a regular basis. It seems a really cool little spot!

Chez Dang is a block up from the Landwehr Canal. I came in starving and hoping they could manage to comprehend gluten free. While the hot ponytailed waiter had no idea (very typical in Berlin), the woman whom I think may be the owner understood and actually had a menu supplement indicating what is gf and what could be modified. Thank you!! I actually ordered the special of the day, a yellow coconut curry (Gelbes kokocurry)that had red, orange and yellow peppers, carrots, onions, potatoes, light paprika, and a light sweet kick from pineapple, served with rice to absorb the broth, with tofu rather than chicken for protein.
