What a find!! Visiting Dundee and found this online , would advise booking before your visit as seems very popular. Lovely little restaurant, staff very friendly, food great thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would highly recommend.

Amazing food for our family of 6. I had the best steak I think I have ever tasted. Staff were lovely, friendly and able to have some banter with out 4?teenagers. It’s very traditional inside, intimate little place, we will be back Ver carta

My husband and I popped in on a cold Tuesday evening by chance, no booking was made, and we were very grateful to get a table. We were celebrating a special birthday and had a lovely meal. We had delicious chicken dishes, the Pollo Alla Sorrento and Pollo Marengo, with potatoes and veg, followed by tasty cheesecake. We’ll be back.

We were fortunate to have passed by the restaurant during the day and noticed the 'Cash only' signs, so we made sure to have enough cash for our meal. The restaurant is cozy with a nice ambiance, the waiter was friendly and attentive, and the food was deliciously prepared and presented. We also enjoyed the house wines. If we were staying in Dundee longer, we definitely would have come back!

I ordered the tagliatelle papalina but when it arrived, there were no peas in it. I questioned if it was the correct dish, and the waiter took it back. After a few minutes, it was returned to me with added tinned peas. The pasta was bland, so I began to add salt. However, the waiter came to the table and suggested that I taste my food before adding salt. I explained that I had already tasted it, but it needed seasoning. Nothing great. Others in our group were satisfied with their food, though noting special. However, I had the penne pasta with spicy Italian sausage , and as a reviewer from July 2022 said, it was a bit of tomato paste with some salami! Not even a proper sauce . It looked awful, and I was so disappointed when it arrived – just a lot of reddish watery pasta slopped carelessly unto the plate with the very occasional very thin half slice of some kind of salami... with ample watery red splashes round the edge! It looked like leftovers, and felt like I was just eating a plate of wet pasta. The Cassata for dessert was adequate, but didn 't redeem the awful main.

I made a reservation for a birthday dinner at this restaurant. There were supposed to be 4 of us, but one person got sick and couldn't come. Our table was reserved for 7:15pm. Unfortunately, my elderly mother arrived at 7pm by mistake and was told there was nowhere for her to wait. When we arrived at 7:15pm, the host asked for our name and seemed impatient. We sat down and waited to be served, but nobody came for 15 minutes. When the waiter finally came over, he asked if the missing person was coming, to which we explained they were sick. The waiter then rudely snatched away our cutlery. The food was mediocre, tasting like a Tesco ready meal. The waiter spilled water on our table twice, but...

Visited as a “walk in” diner when staying at the Premier Inn in the city centre as it was just a five minute walk across the road. Restaurant was very busy and I was lucky to get the last remaining table. Welcome was warm and friendly and I would definitely recommend booking particularly if part of a larger group. Restaurant is family owned and from my seat by the bar and serving counter I observed the calm demeanour of the chef as he cooked to order and his front of house partner who did everything else. I had the ham and mozzarella pizza. Base was crisp and toppings were generous given the price charged. I opted for the house white wine which was served chilled and proved very drinkable. D...
