"We stopped at this cafe as a midway point on the Cleveland Way Coastal Walk. There's a sign for the cafe on top of the cliff, but to get there, you have to trek up a steep hill through a campsite, which was quite a workout—even for someone like me who considers themselves relatively fit! However, once we arrived, we found the cafe to be clean, the staff friendly, and the menu quite appealing. We ordered a ham and cheese sandwich, which I forgot to photograph, but I have to say it was likely one of the best sandwiches we've ever had."

We visited as a family of 4 for Sunday lunch, What a lovely experience! The food was delicious, the portions generous, everything tasted so fresh well made. Lovely atmosphere, friendly owners/ staff. Since Mad Mary's stopped serving in Sandend, we thought we had lost our favourite place to go for a burger in Whitby. But thankfully Coast Cafe Bar under their new management are now producing the best chicken/beef burgers in Whitby (in our opinion), they are absolutely delicious! Myself my wife tried the chicken sriracha burger the bacon cheeseburger both were excellent quality flavour. The cafe is beautifully decorated inside the service was great too. Highly recommended. Well done guys!
