Cobbles Tea Room - Carta

Lovely quaint tearoom service good food. We just had coffee but breakfasts were being served and some takeaways were being taken away. Friendly staff too. Would recommend

Tables not cleared or cleaned outside tea room. Staff only semi interested. The mug of tea was actually only a cup and was not even full. The cakes did look very nice though. It was more like a cafe than a tea room.

After a long walk, we arrived at the restaurant just as the staff were closing up. Despite this, they kindly served us a delicious cup of tea along with flapjack and chocolate cake. Their genuine customer service was greatly appreciated. Thank you! Ver carta

Lovely ladies, very welcoming . Happy to discuss how the oatcakes were cooked!, amazing value breakfast , cooked to order, great sausages and all served with a smile on a very hot morning . Happy to have our little dog inside, really appreciated on a...hot morning to get away from the sunshine. Thank you

An absolute GEM cafe on a beautiful square Friendly service, can’t fault the wonderful staff. Top notch bacon and oatcakes good coffee and amazing cakes to finish off. So much choice on the menu! We had a lovely trip to Longnor a great...place for hiking and the square where the cafe is on is a perfect place to watch the world go by. Thank you for making our lunchtime special. We will be back!

While parking our car, we came across the café and hoped it would still be open after our long, wet, and windy walk. Thankfully, it was! We received a warm welcome, quick service, and thoroughly enjoyed our sausage sandwiches and drinks. We liked it so much that we ended up ordering another round of drinks and cake. The cakes were delicious and highly recommended. This café was a hidden gem and we will definitely return when we are in the area again. Ver carta

It's very difficult to write a review of Cobbles without using words like quaint and old-fashioned So I shan't. Put simply, this is exactly what a tea room ought to be. It's independent of any chain. The staff treat you like a human being rather...than a name on a paper cup. And it serves good, basic food with a minimum of fuss. By basic I mean anything from a cup of tea and a scone to a full breakfast (with Staffordshire oatcake a regional delicacy) or a baked potato with filling. It's all good food, well presented and fresh (scones still warm from the oven). It's well worth a detour if you are in the area, and it's the ideal place to refresh yourself before or after (or both, as we did) a...

We came to the cafe today like we always do on a Saturday afternoon. We always have the same a cup of tea and a lovely fresh scone with cream and jam. We sat outside because it was sunny. While outside we witnessed a group...of people throwing chips all over the place and being very rude to a member of staff, the staff member was very polite to this group of people, I’ve not been able to stop thinking about it all afternoon as they were horrible to the member of staff who was only doing her job. We come back every Saturday for the fabulous service and food. All staff members are lovely! Very welcoming and polite and we wouldn’t go anywhere else. I hope the member of staff was ok after today!...

We visited Cobbles cafe today to purchase several drinks and sat out side. Whilst sitting outside their empty cafe with the drinks we purchased from them, members of our group purchased chips from the chip shop on the same market square. They returned to...the group and were STOOD waiting for our year old mother to stand when a member of their staff came out to confront us. She said “If you’re eating from somewhere else then you can’t sit here, eating chips takes the mickey” before we could reply she walked back into the shop. When we attempted to explain that no one sat with food from anywhere and we were in the process of moving on, she refused to acknowledge us. To be fair, the two younge... Ver carta
