A great dining experience in La Marais! We did the three course meal for dinner and everything was fantastic, from the duck to the raspberry mousse. You cannot go wrong! It's family owned and the family is so wonderful.

A terribly old fashioned restaurant. We were looking forward but the food was really bad. Poor cuts of meat drowned in awful sauces. Also the whole restaurant was really dirty. If you are from a major city like London or New York you will be really disappointed. The only hope was the nice service but the whole experience was really poor

I think this restaurant is worth visiting simply because of the building’s history. It’s got character, which means the building is very old and the tables and chairs (and decorations) are a tad shabby. We chose from the set menu, and everything tasted good (but not great). Service was fine, and the prices were OK too. While I have no particular complaints about the restaurant, I think eating there once was enough. Ver carta

Le Connetable has been a restaurant for 40 years and many other roles for the previous 500. We found the service, atmosphere, wine and food were great. We loved the fish terrine entrée and the three of us enjoyed the duck breast with figs for mains. The fixed price menu for 29 euros gave generous serves with tasty vegetables as sides. Deserts were beyond words, worth promising to go on a diet for. I must mention the music. From jazz with Ella Fitzgerald singing Col Porter ranging all the way to 70's and 80's pop. We enjoyed it so much we returned a second night.
