"on Saturday night again after murgatroyds. this is by far the best place to have fish n chips in yorkshire. the food is also excellently cooked for perfection. I chose the murgatroyds 2 course special, haddock was as it should be. crispy teig, fleshy fish and no greasy chips with mouth water mushy heap. the price of £16.50 included brot n butter, tee or coffee. the waiter was efficient, polite and informative. truly no place to miss for fish n chip lovers."

"This was my third Westbourne experience. First visit back to the UK since the pandemic. If anything this restaurant has got better, (if that is possible), probably the best service I have seen. The place was mobbed as it turned out to be ‘Early Bird’ night. For somewhere that is as busy they have absolutely nailed the service and the food. A fantastic menu with some fantastic food, all while being looked after by the best serving staff you could wish for. We hadn’t booked as this was a last minute arrangement but the restaurant accommodated us and made sure we were valued. The whole place is clean as a new pin, which includes the washrooms.I cannot recommend the Westbourne highly enough."

"This was my first time trying Nam Jai Thai and the food was fantastic! You can definitely taste the high quality ingredients they use. Due to the lockdown, I could only get takeout, but I am looking forward to dining in at the restaurant once it is lifted. Having traveled throughout Thailand, I can say that the food at Nam Jai Thai is authentic and brings back wonderful memories of my time in Siam."

Our friends are 'expert ' in tasting/reviewing curries, having eaten many authentic dishes over the years but their comment this is by far the best I have ever eaten is testimony to Red Pepper 's menu. A genuine and honest compliment."

"We booked dinner at 8pm and enjoyed having drinks at the bar which was enjoyable in a really friendly environment. My wife and myself regularly have a drink in The Princess and decided to book dinner. This was a mistake as the food was awful and the service completely shambolic. Our nachos starter arrived after the main course was served. The manager then tried to justify the situation rather than simply apologise. The Princess is great for meeting for a drink but I would recommend not eating in this establishment."
