"I cannot express enough how amazing this place was! The food was unreal! Steak melted in my mouth, every single dish was so full of flavour, the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food! Then the staff! The server when we visited was amazing! He usually works in the kitchen and was serving on the evening we visited- but he was brilliant! Service was great, his customer service skills were fabulous and really added to the whole experience drastically! I really hope he gets his refurb done in the coming weeks and that it is all worth it! A beautiful, very small, independent restaurant, but I will certainly be returning the next time I visit York! I urge everybody to go, get booked in, and have a beautiful evening there!"

first visit, good food and attentive service. beautiful atmosphere even for such a small place. we had to postpone our booking in the last minute and it was no problem.

A wonderful evening at the corner grill house. A small friendly local restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. Everything is locally sourced and is amazing quality. Cannot wait to return!

I was 3 times in york and the first time to taste this restaurant. food is very nice in a reasonable price. I will recommend the seabass and seabass. this is a MUST-TRY restaurant when you visit york!

This is a real gem of a Restuarant. I chose it randomly from a Google search. I am so very glad because the food was the best I have tasted in decades. I was staying at the Hilton around the corner and their restaurant said there is a 2 hour wait, so I immediately looked up where is a good steak place to eat near me, and Corner Grill House was the top choice. I didn’t hesitate and went straight there, at first I was told it is booked as well, and I would have to come back later, and to my luck someone just paid and I had the first available table. Service was amazing, the atmosphere was perfect, and the steak I had was exactly what I was looking for!! I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting great service and great food.
