Great all vegan Chinese with a great menu to choose from. Friendly, extremely attentive staff.

Beautiful food, fantastic atmosphere and plenty of choice. Everything we had was amazing and for both of us this is the best Chinese food we have ever had.

What a delight to find a vegan Chinese spot here. I had the salt and pepper “prawns” (delicious though a little too salty for my taste and the char sui with broccoli (and a side of rice! .

I was very excited to try this place for so long, but unfortunately I was very disappointed. I ordered the salt n pepper munch box and each product tasted the same pure salt. Hopefully, I'll get another opportunity to try it when I'm back in York!

We had dinner tonight at The Orchid Vegan restaurant. We had the vegan crackers, sweet and sour king prawn, vegetables with noodles and the mini spring rolls. Everything was really tasty, apart from the vegan crackers that didn't really taste anything. We also ordered the vegetables with noodles and noodles came with only onions. The spring rolls were as delicious as the sweet and acidic royal dish.

A very serious place that takes veganism to a deserved level of seriousness. Once you have been given the green light to enter at the door you can relax. We had a couple of soups to start with deep fried calamari as an accompaniment. For the main courses a chicken curry and a Mongolian beef stir fry provided to be outstanding choices. After an hour and a half of indulgence it was sadly time to go. Time Flies

What a lovely environment: pleasant decor, relaxing classical music, delicious food. We had the vegan crackers, Tom kha soup, sweetcorn soup, the duck sharing starter, and for mains we had the char sui pork and the vegan special battered chicken/prawn/tofu in szechuan sauce (can 't remember the name but it was number 37 on the menu and it was delicious!! great restaurant, me and my bf's favourite in York. got a takeaway last night, came quickly and all the food we tried was delicious. we got fried noodles king prawn in oyster sauce really yum chicken in Szechuan sauce yummy, my bf didn't like that the chicken was squawky to eat, but it doesn't bother me battered belly strips had some spicy bits of chilli, really yum prawn toast very yum but can't eat much as so rich salt and pepper tofu so good, a favourite

This place has a lot of choice, even if you just get takeaway, as we did. You can get lots of different meats we just tried the chicken, which was pretty tasty. Sweet and sour tofu was crispy and delicious and the lemon chicken was very lemony! The mushroom stir fry was flavoursome. Would also recommend the bao buns, although the Korean one is spicy. Spring rolls were crispy and very moreish. We also tried the chocolate fudge cake (couldn 't resist) but this wasn 't as good as the mains. Packaging for the takeaway was more cardboard and other recyclable materials than a normal Chinese, which was good. Very filling. Still love this place! The munchbox is highly recommended.
