"like most people who are eaten with eating and eating, I am against chains in general. that is because they are through their natural places that have removed the whole heart and the soul and the idiosyncracy from them. the things we actually are looking for. it must be. everything is formulated in the rule and strictly regulated by the office. it is a system that works to a certain degree. I was trying to try the new côte brasserie. since the sad defeat of Relais de venise l' entrecôte last year, there is nowhere that I can go to know in the city for simple steakfrites. we just don't have the small local family leading French bistro to the corner that's been there for years, so where else is it? they couldn't afford the high-city rentals for a start. they can only afford to get in. (maybe we don't have a good tapas bar now until ibérica can move next year.)"

a french casual brasserie, very good atmosphere and helpful staff. the food was good, we had their December special with moules et fries and smoked laughs as appetizers. we enjoyed our experience at cote.

Gorgeous food, amazing service, lively but quiet atmosphere. Just a fantastic place to visit, I can't recommend enough. Alvaro was our waiter, always attentive, and polite, just everything exactly as it should be. Make sure you try their cheeseboard!

beautifully presented food, my salmon cote d’azur was delicious. i noticed that the meal portions here are generous. the service is great and quick too, caters so well to groups dining here. their menu has decent selection of meatless/pescatarian options! would recommend :

the steak itself arrived well under 15 minutes and was just stunning. exceptional quality, perfect to a beautiful, pink rare and extremely well seasoned. with a frit, a caper wobbles salad and a pretty good béarnaise it was a joy. it will certainly not be a dodgy kebab, “fast food” better.

Côte, Manchester is a ‘chain restaurant’ and, being an unashamed food snob, I usually avoid these like the plague. I visited the other day because I fancied steak tartare and could not find anywhere else in Manchester that had it on the menu. The food was a mixed bag overall – the crayfish salad tasted ridiculously briny but the fish cakes, steak frites, pissaladière and steak tartare were all good value. Star dish: Sautéed Salmon Fishcakes.

I was pleasantly surprised when dinning with my friends at this French restaurant! It's so refreshing when the service, the establishment and the food match and reflect on each other. By that I mean the waitress was nice, courteous, knowledgeable and warm. The place was clean, quiet and easy to find. The food was delicious and affordable. I would have given it 5 stars if the crab starter was not so salty but they didn't charge us for it after we made them aware. If you eat pork order the Beef cheeks, as it contains bacon, hmmm they are to die for!. Otherwise, the steak is a good option too. For starters I recommend the calamaris are yummy particularly with the sauce it comes with! So two mai...

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."

"I've been to a couple of different Dishoom branches a few times and have never been disappointed by the breakfast options. The sausage naan roll is excellent. A couple of really tasty vegan sausages with some melted vegan cheese all wrapped up in a lovely soft naan and served with some sort of sweet chilli dipping sauce. My go to now is usually the vegan Bombay. It's a good hearty breakfast plate with... a couple of the same well seasoned vegan sausages. Some vegan tofu akuri a nicely spiced tofu scramble. Some very well cooked mushroom slices (that are maybe a wee bit under seasoned). The baked beans are really nicely spiced, elevating them far beyond the standard sweet sauce fare that's the usual. A few slices of well flavoured black pudding (that could be fried to being a bit crispier). A cooked tomato which is a bit dull, I've never been keen on tomatoes on my breakfast plate and this once has not changed my mind. It could do with some more charring and maybe some spicing. To help you mop everything up, the whole thing is served with a couple of soft bread buns that have been nicely toasted. I usually top the whole thing off with some chocolate chai with oat milk you get free refills for your chai. Unfortunately, it isn't wheelchair accessible. There are stairs up into the restaurant and various small flights of stairs to get to different parts of the restaurant. Updated from previous review on 2024 03 25"
