We live in Nice so we try quite a lot but through the years this is one of our absolute favourites and has never dissappointed! Really good food made and served with a lot of passion. The guys who run it loves what they do and it shines through! Always book a table! It is full 90 times of 100.Enjoy!

My family and I were visiting Nice and we saw great reviews for this place and I did not see the bad reviews. I should have because there seems to be a pattern of rude waiters and staff. We walked in and there was only 2 tables full, so my cousin who spoke in French asked for a table and the waiter looked at my family and I and rudely said no. So my cousin asked why and he said, my answer is no! And yelled at her.Completely shocked by how he turned us away. As I looked around at whom were seated, they were all white. We were a family of mixed races, not sure if it was racism but it felt like it!Don't go here. Horrible service.

At very short notice Cote Marais managed to fit us in and even though I booked the wrong night , it was not a problem. Cote Marais couldn't have made us feel more welcome . We were seated inside , which was beautiful and so quaint. The waiter gave us a very detailed and passionate description of each dish on the menu , which made choosing very difficult . All the choices sounded delicious. Between us we went for the tomato salad and the scallops, followed by the duck and seabass. For dessert we chose pistachio ice cream, lemon sorbet and chocolate fondant cake. All dishes were fantastic! Definitely try to visit if you are in nice ! Ver carta

Saw this place reviewed on TripAdvisor and decided to give it a try. very glad we did. On an obscure side street in old Nice. Small (about 8 tables) but very nice. A 3-course menu (which can also be ordered-from ala carte)...very reasonable, with a selection of beautifully prepared meats and seafood...vegetarian items as well. White asparagus was featured on the night we went...Beef Nicoise (like beef Bourguignon but we are in Nice, after all), scallops, carpaccio, homemade desserts. All great. The owner and a chef seem to do it all, and they succeed. Decent wine list with Provence wines. A little hard to find, but worth the effort.

We had the most amazing 15th anniversary dinner at Cote Marais. A local (who manages at American Vintage) said that it was her favorite place to go, and I can see why. The ambiance is so sweet with candlelight. The vegetables were so perfect I could have cried. Great care is taken here. The wine was superb, the food so fresh, so well balanced, what a delicious experience. Later we had a wonderful conversation with Mario the chef - and this led us to spend two days in Saint Tropez! Everything is great about this restaurant. The service, the food, the drinks, the atmosphere.This restaurant is tucked down a little alleyway in the centre of Old Town. We had reserved, which is a must as the restaurant was full, and lots of people were turned away.I chose the foie gras and my daughter chose the white asparagus soup for our starters. For our mains I chose the steak, my daughter the veal.Before our starters we were given some savoury petit fours, they were warm and delicious.All of our dishes were wonderful and it was nice for some veggies to be served with our mains.
