"This is THE place to go if you need a rose bush.Quality grown rose bushes of all styles and pot sizes. They are laid out on acres of well tended lawns either by occasion or a-z within their genre such as floribunda etc. Each row has photo cards showing the full bloom of each rose. This is also the place to be to name a rose for a gift or occasion you have a choice of pink, red or creamy ivory you take the rose to the till point and give the details this is then wrapped in cellophane flower wrap with gift bows and a presentation certificate along with a maintenance sheet, whilst this is being wrapped etc you are given a voucher for free teas/coffee in the coffee shop while you wait. This is lovely gesture I wasn't expecting and a very charming coffee shop. Very clean, country style, with a choice of cream teas cakes and drinks.I would suggest you take a snapshot of the road map off here as if you come off the A49 you can end up down some rural country lanes my sat nav kept wanting to take me to the other side of this garden centre which was a private neighbouring property 2 lanes away but still with this postcode.Glad I found it and well worth the visit"

Lots of outdoot seating. Loads of cakes and plenty of gluten free ones. I didn't look for vegan stuff as there is no chance of a vegan not coughing that information after 4 seconds anyway. Tea in a pot. Nice coffees. Helpful and pleasant service. Plants looked great too?

Ì love taking my elderly Mum here as the surroundings are so relaxing with an array of stunning colours from the roses. The food is always nice, staff are friendly and there's a choice to sit inside on a grey day. Ì recently bought a special memorial rose of which has bloomed in abundance ! We are very lucky to have such a special gardens on our doorstep but would not like it to become commercialised.

A lovely small, intimate garden centre which specialises in roses and country plants. Nice little tearoom. A place to visit, wander around, browse and enjoy when you have time on your side.Pots, compost and a small selection of garden related gifts are sold. The staff are always very willing and able to give help and advice whenever they can.Well worth a visit. Small car park at the point of access. Wheelchair accessible.

Driving through Shrewsbury to Newport, we saw a sign for a garden centre. We were hungry so went in. It was NOT a disappoint, the tea room was amazing, all food made on site. I had the pea soup, have never tasted anything so tasty, it was hot good flavour and a chunk of home made bread. Plenty of seating outside as well as in. And the roses were beautiful, we had to buy a couple! Every where you look there was roses. Can't wait to go back.

Beautiful setting surrounded by stunning roses and plants, there is a seating area in garden with a little cafe on side. There was an additional room inside, but the weather was so lovely we took advantage of the outdoor seating. I have to thank the staff, after booking an afternoon tea for 5, sadly only 3 could attend after a rather distressing morning. The staff were so accommodating. Cakes and sandwiches were plentiful, so much so we took a little doggy bag away with us. This place is so quaint, the highlight walking around and reading all the different names of roses. Dog friendly and I loved the little outside toilets. It was like stepping back in time. Thank you.

I found a rose I wanted to buy from this company's web site and decided to go and pick it up instead of having it posted. How glad I did. This place is absolutely lovely and has a massive selection of roses and other plants. It also has a wonderful tea room. The place is nestled in a quiet location just outside the village of Hadnall in Shropshire. I spoke to really nice chap called Jack both on the phone and when I was in the shop buying my rose (plus other roses that caught our eye whilst we visited). He was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. All the staff were friendly and very helpful including the staff in the tea room.It really was a joy to have visited here, looking forward to my n...

We had a birthday afternoon tea here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Being February and miserable weather, we had the place to ourselves but the staff had gone to a lot of effort decorating the birthday girl's table with birthday confetti. Nice and cosy inside. The food was very good nice selection of sandwiches what I would call sensible fillings like cheese and chutney, ham and tomato, tuna mayo, and egg. Our only comment would be to include a few more of the tuna and egg ones as there were quite a few of the ham and tomato which for our group was the least popular flavour. A selection of four different cakes carrot, victoria sponge, chocolate and a very good syrupy flapjack. Small pieces but w...

"Beautifull hotel, I guess one can call it trendy , but I just don 't understand how they can justify the price £130/night and that most of the time will go to £160 as they run out of entry level ones. So I guess the answer is there because people pay for it! But let 's just make some relevant comparisons Birmingham Grand literally in the heart of the city, brand new, 5* hotel, with all recently decorated rooms to the highest standard is £135 15 for breakfast. Needless to say rooms are air conditioned, fully equipped and genuinelly very posh. Hotel has lifts, has porters and the service is top notch. The Lion is barelly 4* just for trendiness alone, but the actual quality of furnishing is closer to 3*, has no lift and you will be lugging your bags up and down mutiple flights of stairs (and I mean multiple like 8 going up and down) trought narrow corridors to mediocre room (nothing wrong with it just mediocre) which isn 't even air conditioned. Sorry, I just don 't get it. That said restaurant is good fully fine dining if you are into it. Althought in my oppinion it doesn 't fit into the rest of the hotel. So it is ~3.5* hotel which is very youghtfull and trendy and then you get 5* fine dining with very tiny portions for the dinner (which is not criticism of restaurant, it is very good on it 's own). In conclussion I just don 't get what niche this hotel is filling, who stays there and why. The price for the rooms should be £75 95 tops. Shreesbury is not exactly prime tourists destination either (at least shouldn 't). But it seems it is working out for them, I just would not recommend it, I would not stay in it again and it is definatelly not worth the price. Neither in isolation, nor in comparison."
