We arrived about 12:30 for lunch and were the first to occupy a table on the outside terrace. By 1pm all the tables had been taken. We enjoyed a meal of gallettes and cider, which was very good. We noticed that the restaturant was recommended in each of the last 4 years by le Routard guide.

Cosy restaurant with nice staff. The food is simple French food, but very tasty. We went for 2 nights, one night I had a galette (salty) and as desert a crèpe (sweet), both were very good. The next night I took a good fresh, filling...salad. The place is wellknown for their crèpes, but they also serve some other food like burgers, steaks, salads. There is a large selection of galettes crèpes. We were with a big group, the staff could handle that. The Brut Cidre is to die for! Delicious. If we will come back to la Gacilly we will go back.

Many have mentioned the crepes/galetts --- but the salads were quite nice, too. My wife had one with smoked salmon, duck and ham --- and while that might sound a little strange, it was actually quite good (we shared.) Me, on the other hand, went the crepe route, and was not disappointed. Our French could have been better than it was, but we had no problem ordering. The house wine was good and reasonable, and the service was efficient and friendly. It's on the rue Lafayette, a pedestrian only walkway containing a few other eating establishments and artists' shops, and while it was too chilly the day we were there to sit out side, they have a nice patio that is unaffected by traffic.
