"A Classic English Pub Experience I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Cricketers in Oldbrook, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. This quaint English pub exudes the charm and warmth you'd expect from a traditional local watering hole. Atmosphere: The ambiance at the Cricketers is quintessentially English. With its dark wooden beams, cozy nooks, and the soft hum of chatter, it's a welcoming place to unwind. The decor, adorned with cricket memorabilia, adds a unique touch to the pub's character. Food: I opted for a classic hamburger during my visit, and I was pleasantly surprised. The burger was juicy, cooked to perfection, and came with a generous serving of crispy, golden fries. It's clear that they take pride in their pub grub. The menu offers a variety of options for all tastes, and the quality certainly shines through. Drinks: I paired my meal with a Jack Daniels and Cola, which was expertly mixed. The drink had just the right balance of flavors, making it a perfect companion to my meal. The Cricketers offers a well-stocked bar with a variety of choices to suit your preferences. Service: The staff at Cricketers were attentive and friendly. They made sure my dining experience was enjoyable, and their knowledge of the menu and drink selections was evident. Overall, the Cricketers in Oldbrook offers a classic English pub experience. Whether you're looking for a hearty meal, a well-poured drink, or a cozy atmosphere to relax in, this pub delivers. I'll be returning to savor more of their offerings in the future. It's a hidden gem in Oldbrook, and I highly recommend it to locals and visitors alike."

You are git by the stench of the men 's toilet as you enter. The aggressive local gangster brigade guard the door and make for an uncomfortable welcome. Staff are pleasant. Usual bar offerings, food at best rudimentary and edible.

A pleasant Greene King pub, we only went for a couple of beers and on the Tuesday evening it was reasonably quiet. The food menu looked to be varied and reasonably priced with a number of offers. The pub has a nice outside seating area

Went today and the girl working on the bar in the nicest possible way seemed like she didn't have a clue. She seemed very forgetful and confused all the time, she actually forgot to put through a part of an order on our table meaning one of us had to wait for it to be done while everyone else was eating. By the time it arrived everyone had already finished their plates. She then proceeded to walk through the restaurant area with a cigarette hanging out of her mouth... Food was ok-ish. The tables actually felt like they'd not been whipped over at all. The only decent thing was the doggy table with treated and water, that was a fantastic idea and a friendly touch.

"Absolutely average restaurant. Dirty bamboo table mats and super dirty windows, kinda sad to look out of them. Impatient service, who under 6 minutes 5 times came back trying to pressure me to take my order. I was confused as I thought it was a restaurant not a fast food place. Silly me who used to live in Japan though the menu is just like there, with pictures. How wrong I was...So getting my phone to have a look at their website, what kinda different that in the restaurant menu card one. When I tried to ask for reconditions, I didn't get any, she just straight away took the last what I asked. The steamed algae was very nice, but my noodle soup was a big surprise, as I have no idea what's roasted (burned) pepper and massive chunks of onions doing there? It's supposed to be sea food, but instead just some burned vegetables scared with frozen octopus, mussels and mini calamari rings poured up with chicken broth. So yeah, kinda disappointing. Drink wise I asked the waitress do they have any tonic water as it isn't listed on the menu card, she looked at me like I am a weirdo. I asked for Roku gin what is my favourite. On the receipt was counted as an extra pound because Japanese. Lol, no comment. Getting the drinks, from other restaurants you get the spirit on the rocks in the glass and front of you they pouring the mixer drink from the mini bottle. Here not, just straight away together as it comes. Oh and don't bother asking without lemon, because you are getting one either way. So Akasaka restaurant did not become my favourite one. Once and last. Easily can be forgotten. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £20–30 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4"
