"A warm and inviting pub that we have only visited for the second time. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a friendly welcome, and the staff was both friendly and attentive throughout our visit. Our food was ordered and served quickly. The steak was cooked to perfection—something that many pubs struggle to achieve when it comes to distinguishing between rare and medium. Everything was well-prepared and beautifully presented. Plus, the prices were very reasonable."

As always, the staff, food, and drinks were exceptional. We ordered six Sunday Roasts and one children's roast, along with some desserts. It was great value for money. Booking online was a breeze, and we were able to easily adjust the number of guests and timing over the phone. Poppy was especially helpful.

This is a fantastic pub situated in a peaceful location away from the main road. It features a charming outdoor seating area, and the interior is aesthetically pleasing with a variety of seating options. I had an amazing meal here today. The service was excellent—very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The vegan risotto and chicken and ham pie were both delicious, and we all left with clean plates. "we went for the first time on Friday. I'm shocked it won't heaving! the food was delicious, the staff was so friendly and did not linger or hasten you. there was so much choice on the menu and loved that they could see in the kitchen that proved they had nothing to hide! the ice cream is amazing when they can choose a taste, the naan looks amazing and they were so helpful with diet requirements. if they enjoy beer and do not drive, they try the king cobras, but warn them are quite strong! we took two parent groups, both of whom said it was the best indian they were, the facility that was the personal everything brilliant. 100% recommended!"

"This is still by far the best curry house in the area. The chefs really know how to cook their chicken, lamb and prawns and the spices used are delicious. I am a regular visitor to this restaurant and the standard of the dishes served has yet to disappoint me. While many of the main meals are quite different from those on offer from other restaurants, the more conventional dishes are still available on the old traditional menu."

"Really enjoyed this food, especially the tandoori chicken (1/2 leg) and the chapati (which were very soft and a decent size). We also tried the kitchen special lamb which was unique and tasted very good. The only thing I would not recommend is the chicken korma, just not my taste, it was a little too sweet. And I would love it if there was some cut raw onion with the tandoori chicken. Otherwise, buying the food online then collecting it was very easy and I got a 10% discount ! "Absolutely delicious, I've been looking for a decent thai red curry locally and I found one. It's a small restaurant but so nice and clean with friendly staff and even scented candles in the bathroom. All of our food, starters and mains were delicious. "After reviewing the menu, we decided to go for a 'running buffet' and shared a variety of dishes, reordering every ten minutes or so. I asked everyone to rate each dish on a scale of 1 to 5, and every main dish received a perfect score of 5, except for the Szechuan Prawns, which got a 5.5, and the sizzling spicy chicken, which scored a 6! The rice and noodles were all delicious—fluffy, tasty, and well-seasoned—but we gave them all a rating of 4 simply because the mains were exceptional. The standout dishes were the Char Siew (honey pork), which we ended up ordering three times, and the sizzling hot spicy chicken, which we ordered twice. It had a delightful kick of heat, was tender and moist, and had a wonderful sauce—even though I tried to manage the scores, they rated it a 6! The Szechuan prawns were plump, firm, and cooked to perfection, and they scored a very hard-fought 5.5, with just the right amount of heat. One of the boys was a bit picky, but we requested a serving of Singaporean noodles without vegetables for him without any hassle. This isn’t just average food; it’s really good, and it comes out quickly, looks appealing, and tastes fantastic—reflecting its price. We also tried the 'wine by the glass' options. The white Chilean Sauvignon Blanc paired well with the food, while I enjoyed an Australian Shiraz that complemented the beef, pork, and spicy dishes nicely. The Italian 'Blush' rosé was also a hit. We're already planning to return on Monday with another group of six to explore more of the menu, and I’m genuinely looking forward to it. If you truly appreciate good food, I highly recommend trying Chef Peking!"
