"We stayed overnight at this lovely B&B and were impressed with the spotlessly clean individually decorated rooms. The bed linen and towels were of excellent quality and we appreciated the fresh milk and coffee machine in the room. The full-size hair dryer and good water pressure in the rainfall and massage shower were nice touches. The hosts were polite and welcoming, explaining all the features well. Breakfast was excellent, with good quality food cooked and presented beautifully. Parking was available at the rear of the hotel, which is centrally located in the heart of Oswestry. We would not hesitate to visit again or recommend this hotel."

"I've been into the Fat Rabbit twice now, once for coffee and cake, and again today for lunch. Both times it has been great, I have a lot of dietary requirements as does my dad, and we had no trouble finding plenty to eat. Amazing food, amazing drinks, amazing service with very knowledgeable staff! It's so nice to have a vegan place in Oswestry. Service: Dine in"

"During Jim Heaton's time, The Last Inn in Hengoed was a traditional village pub known for its excellent beer, delicious food, and inviting atmosphere. While the new owners have made some changes over the years, they have managed to maintain the pub's original charm, with the unfortunate exception of removing the real fire. Recently, the pub underwent renovations, swapping out the cozy wood panels for a brighter sage green and white color scheme. However, this change has altered the atmosphere drastically, making it feel empty and lacking warmth. Service was subpar, with a new and inexperienced waiter who made mistakes with our orders. The food was hit or miss, with some dishes being acceptable while others, like the Sunday roast, were bland and disappointing. The atmosphere has also taken a hit, with the pub now frequented by unsavory characters in tracksuits glued to the Sky Sports TV. Overall, I hope the new management can work on improving the atmosphere, service, and food quality to restore The Last Inn to its former glory. However, until then, I will not be returning."

"My wife and I recently relocated to the area and decided to try out Liar Liar based on recommendations that it is the best coffee in town. Being a bit of a coffee connoisseur, I like to pride myself on knowing good coffee when I taste it. The gentleman working behind the counter was quite friendly, although his energy seemed a bit low. The coffee options were limited to Brazilian and African varieties, with the option to sample one before making a decision. I sampled the African coffee, which was surprisingly light and resembled black tea in appearance. While the taste was decent, it was too light and subtle for my liking. My espresso was also on the lighter side and required some effort to finish. Personally, I prefer my coffee to be rich, dark, and full of flavor – which is the opposite of what Liar Liar offers. Despite this, there were plenty of regular customers who seemed to enjoy the coffee. While it may not be my preferred cup of coffee, I can see why others appreciate it."

"The Bailey Head is the local area's CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) pub of the year, and we were both very impressed with the quality, range, and taste of the beers on offer. We enjoyed a drink of Black Iris Myld Stallyns, a dark mild, which was in beautiful condition and cost £3.90. The pub is comfortable, with a large L-shaped space wrapped around the bar divided into smaller zones by interior beams. The staff behind the bar were friendly and informative, and we ended up chatting with another customer. My wife, who uses a wheeled walking aid, found the access around the building to be very easy, and the seating was comfortable. The electronic beer list is displayed on screens in the pub and can also be seen on the Untapped website. It's important to note that some of the draught ales are Key Keg, but they have a wide range of hand-pulled real ales. Overall, it is a great real ale establishment that comes highly recommended. We are looking forward to visiting again in the future."
