Strange to find this food being offered in the middle of a small Somerset village but very good evening and tasty food. Look out for it as I think this only happens once in a while

Driving past we saw the Sri Lankan night and thought we’d try it. We weren’t disappointed. The pub is lovely and the staff, and regulars, are very friendly. The Sri Lankan food was excellent and very good value. Look forward to trying their other food. Best to book though

Every last Friday of the month, the restaurant hosts Sri Lankan night featuring a selection of authentic curries. For a fixed price, you can enjoy starters and a main meal that includes 5 or 6 different types of curry with rice. The curries, all made in-house, are incredibly delicious. Ver carta

We are fortunate to have this restaurant as our local favorite. We appreciate the warm welcome and cozy atmosphere, and the food is simply amazing. Everything is freshly prepared to order and delicious. Definitely worth a visit! We even had my son's 5th Birthday party there, and they did an excellent job for that as well!

Called in Xmas day. Asked for a Baileys with ice for the wife. Was told by the landlord? “No ice, that’s a summer drink “ mmm. So what about Bailey’s over ice or a gin and tonic with ice and a slice ? We got the distinct feeling that he didn’t want to be there. Won’t bother going there again. It’s a pity because it’s a really traditional olde world pub that would be better off with someone behind the bar with more enthusiasm.

We were camping nearby and dropped in on a Thursday evening in the hopes of a quick meal expecting basic pub grub. The staff were very friendly and helpful and though the decor was a little tired the place was cosy and clean. The menu was quite small but there was something for everyone. The portion sizes were substantial and the food was presented well and tasted lovely. We will definitely go back if we're in the area again. Ver carta

Drove in off the motorway for a quick snack at Sunday lunchtime found ourselves at The Crown. Asked if they had soup on the menu despite really only offering the Sunday Roast the landlady appeared offered a beef or pork roll with a little salad we chose the pork were so glad we did quite delicious. We could not have asked for more in terms of friendly efficient staff, the quality of the food the overall cost. Thoroughly recommend this pub, although for their sakes please do not constantly ask for alternatives.

We were staying in the area and were recommended this local pub. We dined on Friday night and chose three main dishes from the Smokehouse menu which were delicious! The Tennessee pulled beef was amazing as was the 10oz Rump steak and the Stilton beef burger. The portions were huge with generous helpings of skinny fries and salad and cooked to perfection. We have big appetites and we could hardly finish it! The staff and patrons are really friendly and the pub retains its 'olde worlde ' traditional feel with big flagstone tiles and a crackling open fire which adds to the cosy atmosphere. During my stay at Westhill Farm caravan park, I discovered the Crown restaurant through TripAdvisor. It was less than two miles away, so we decided to walk over for Sunday lunch. This Marston's establishment is a charming local pub in a small village setting. The function room, adjacent to the bar, can accommodate around 30+ diners. The carvery was offering a choice of pork or beef with various sides and a selection of four vegetables. The meal was delicious, the portions were generous, and priced at just £7.95, it was a great deal. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I especially enjoyed their Marston's Lancaster Bomber ale.
