"This spot near the university has terrific and inexpensive pastas and meat/seafood dishes. I went for lunch, twice, during my recent 4 day stay in Bologna. One of the best things about Cuchiaio d 'Oro is that it was the only place where I got to try some of the great vegetables I saw for sale at the Mercato Mezzo. I highly recommend this place, especially for lunch; have a glass of the house wine, choose a dish from the menu, have a small plate from the contorni buffet (vegetables), and end with an espresso. For my first lunch here, I had a delicious fettucini with radicchio and pancetta. The pasta was perfectly prepared, in a sauce turned reddish purple from the radicchio. The flavor was a great balance between the bitter radicchio and the sweet pancetta. My partner had the gnocchi with tomato gorgonzola sauce, and it was equally well done. The gnocchi were nicely done and not dense or chewy. On the second day, we both had the vitello tonnato a dish we 'd never before tried, of a large, thin, chilled slice of veal served with a mayonnaise like sauce flavored with tuna, lemon and capers. Can 't compare that dish since I 've never had it before, but on a warm day, it was really delicious and refreshing. On both days, I had a small contorni plate. The way they serve vegetables here is buffet style along a sideboard, plates and platters are set up featuring around a dozen options for simply prepared seasonal vegetables. In May they had asparagus, baked tomatoes with breadcrumbs, grilled sliced eggplant, boiled sliced zucchini with onion, finely chopped leeks cooked in what seemed to be a poultry stock, a couple of gratins (onion, and something else), and one of my favorites, puntarelle (a bitter green similar to dandelion) cooked simply with a few raisins for sweetness. There was plenty more to try that we didn 't get to, but it all looked good. The wine selection is very decent, including local options that are indicated on the menu, and the friendly staff is happy to help you choose. The good espresso here, as at most places in Bologna, is a satisfying way to end the meal. The atmosphere is nothing fussy, and large shared tables are not uncommon. But it 's a very comfortable spot, and from some tables you can see straight into the open kitchen where they 're preparing your meal. They were also promoting some special dinners, so that may be worth checking out if you have more time or are interested in a really good, inexpensive evening meal."

I visited this place for a beer and i can stay it has a good selection of beers for a good price. We payed 10 Euros for 3 beers. The atmosphere is relaxed and the barman helped us to make our choice.

Il posto preferito degli studenti universitari! Prezzi ottimi, soprattutto per un bicchiere o una caraffa di Aperol Spritz! Perfetto per festeggiare con gli amici ma spesso anche per trovare degli amici nuovi!

Il mio locale preferito di Bologna. Uno dei pochi in cui bevi bene sia birra che vino e mangi altrettanto bene. Vastissima scelta di bottiglie, sia economiche che di pregio. EDIT 7/8/2020: Il ragazzo nuovo fa dei cocktail spettacolari Ver carta

Se ti piace bere buona birra e spendere il giusto, devi venire qui! I barman sanno consigliarti in base ai tuoi gusti. Hanno sia birre in bottiglia artigianali che birre alla spina. Cocktail meno buoni ma comunque hanno una vastità di superalcolici, soprattutto gin.

D'obbligo passare la sera. I prezzi sono ottimi e il personale cortese. C'è la super tennez a due euro e tante birre artigianali a 3,90 (se ne prendi 3 te le fanno a 10). Buono per aperitivo. Una volta avevano un piano che prima della pandemia cociv si poteva suonare. L'unica pecca è che il bagno spesso è guasto e questo può essere un problema per gente che beve birra. Inoltre delle volte la pulizia lascia a desiderare ma questo penso sia dovuto al fatto che è frequentato da ragazzi/animali universitari.
