"Il menù del pranzo è sempre vario, abbondante, buono, cucinato bene. A pietra ligure, finale e borgio è per certo il miglior posto dove pranzare a mezzogiorno per un menù veloce , buono e davvero poco costoso. Se vieni qui non ti pentirai, anzi, ci tornerai. Sono venuto anche la sera e mi hanno proposto una costata. Diciamo che ero curioso di vedere il risultato perché per la carne, da buon pugliese, sono davvero pretenzioso. Un po come il caffè per il napoletano.La carne deve essere morbida,saporita,al sangue. C è solo un modo per cucinarla e l hanno indovinato. Mi è arrivata a tavola una cosa sublime, così come dev'essere. Davvero i miei più grandi complimenti. Non ho mangiato, ho goduto. Che spettacolo"

"Our family spent 8 days in Pietra. We ate Caruggi twice, would have gone a third time. Very friendly and accommodating (daughter wanted a simple spaghetti pomodoro no problem). The food tastes great and the prices are in line. Pasta with seafood, small homemade gnocchi with shrimp and zucchini, ravioli…something for everyone. They also offer seafood paella, minimum 2 people and allow 45 minutes. Recommend also the house white wine and french fries/homemade potatoes for a hungry family starter. All food and the bill served in a timely manner. Note, menus also in English and German"

"The farinata and the pasta would deserve 5 stars, but the pizzas really weren't nicely topped, sausage spread across about three piles, then e.g. 5 to 6 cm border without anything, the olive oil and the parmesan in small individual bags with no significant taste, the pepper had to be asked for for the salad, so really more like: can make it in Loano, but not a pizza worth repeating"

"My partner was really excited about coming here because of all the fantastic reviews. The service was excellent but the food was okay. We had the octopus salad and it was very bland. Nothing special. Then we had the long pasta with shrimp and artichokes. Unfortunately, it was way too salty. The shrimps were excellent but the dish was way too salty. For our main dish we had fried mixed (it was good but was missing some kind of sauce). It just didn’t have a wow factor. We also had the fish of the day with artichokes, which was slightly overcooked. The salad as a side dish was good. We also order a tiramisu (nothing special). The chocolate cake was excellent- very light and delicious. Overall my partner was very disappointed. I think this is because we had high expectations. Location and service was great but the food did not have wow factor."

"We were visiting my cousins while staying in the area. We had never been to Finalborgho before and it 's a charming town with lots of shops and restaurants. As we were walking through the main square, my cousin said make sure you eat at Sotto Il Santo, they make some of the best pasta ever. The next day, we returned and enjoyed one of the best pasta meals ever. (I know, sounds like hyperbole but hear me out). It was an incredibly hot day so we just wanted a pasta dish. What we got was incredible. My wife ordered a simple spaghetti with tomatoes and olives. I ordered the tagliatelle with fresh anchovies, tomatoes, pine nuts and fresh capers. My friends, I live in Italy and have eaten some really good pasta dishes, but I 'm going to say that this was, simply put, the best pasta I 've ever had. Fresh pasta, high quality ingredients, cooked perfectly. It was unreal!!!!"
