We went with a party of 9 people to this restaurant and I have to say that it looked really nice from the outside but the inside was not very inviting. The tables very very near to each other and there was not much room and it was very loud as it was very busy. The food we ordered was very average and the salad was awful - it was bitter and the dressing tasted of nothing but plain yoghurt. The staff were very very busy and always in a rush which made us feel slightly uncomfortable. However the prices were very reasonable but I do not think that we will go there again in the future.

They had cleared out all the rural tat since my previous visit, making for a much cleaner, brighter room. They have kept the "cowshed" part of the name, though.I had a good tomato soup, and a tasty selection of medallions served up in a pan with a mushroom sauce that seemed mostly to consist of mushrooms and cream.
