This welcoming, clean, and cozy pub has professional and friendly staff. Our meals were delicious, and I enjoyed them with several pints of SA Gold, which was excellent. The menu and desserts were great, and we can't wait to come back for another visit. Thank you.

We were a table of 5 visiting this afternoon. Food was lovely, and great service. We would especially like to thank Keran who stepped in when one of our party members fell ill. Food was lovely other than all the soup coming out freezing but in warm bowls. The organisation needs working we were a big group but the last of the food wasn’t brought out until the first people had finished. We all ate at different times. We arrived before our reservation time but were promptly seated at our table, which was a nice surprise. I enjoyed a curry and a drink, both of which were delicious. The staff were extremely friendly and polite. For vegetarians, the Thai curry was a standout dish. Parking was easy to find, and the cost per person came to around £30–40. Overall, I would rate the food a solid 5 out of 5.

We had a family gathering of elderly cousins and some younger members of the family. We were very impressed with the food, both in terms of quality and value for money. The staff were very welcoming and were very flexible regarding the ordering process as 80+ year olds would not have coped with QR codes. I’m not sure where to begin. I visited the restaurant on February 17th for my birthday with 24 others. The steak I ordered was tough and rubbery, and the hunter's chicken came without cheese or barbecue sauce. The service was lacking—a few staff members were rude and unprofessional, simply slapping our plates down in front of us, although Lisa was helpful. Additionally, the beer prices felt more appropriate for London rather than Risca. Overall, it’s safe to say I won’t be returning, not even if it were free. Price per person: £10–20.

Went to ' The Darran ' didn 't even know if they served food ? But scampi and trimmings were ordered along with the 8 oz dump steak . The food was light and tender not chewy with all the trimmings . The staff were extremely helpful as I am partially disabled . The puddings were so good we actually had them prepare one each to take home with us !!! Parking was easy and plenty of room . A big must if you struggle getting around !!! Vegetarian options: There was a vegetarian option on a few items . But didn 't pay much attention to that sorry !! Parking: Pub has it 's it 's own very generous car park with plenty near the entrance to the pub

Today, I visited The Darran for lunch with my dad and occupational therapist. There was only one lady working, but she was kind and explained that she was on her own. She brought our drinks over and gave us some time to decide on our orders. Despite having to wait a bit, I didn't mind because she was managing everything by herself. The buttermilk chicken strips and popcorn chicken were delicious and beautifully presented. The chips and fries were flavorful and enjoyable. The rocket salad was also really tasty. The drinks were fresh and the decor was lovely. Although the restaurant didn't have the Marston's logo, it had other indicators that it was a Marston's establishment. It reminded me of... Ver carta
