"During lockdown, we have been purchasing groceries and takeout from Dart to Mouth and have consistently enjoyed high-quality food. Jenny's homemade sourdough bread and preserves are fantastic, and her Asian dishes have added a special touch to several birthday celebrations. Her spare ribs, buns, and beef rendang have become favorites among our family. Jenny's passion for delicious food is contagious, and she is incredibly generous - we always have plenty of leftovers to enjoy afterwards. I highly recommend this restaurant."

We recently enjoyed takeaway fruit scones with clotted cream and homemade wild strawberry jam, and they were absolutely delicious! The owner was also very friendly and welcoming.

Wow were we lucky to find this little gem. We called ahead and they thankfully reserved us two scones for our long awaited cream tea. Delightful courtyard and very special caring owners

What a fabulous place in this little courtyard in Dartmouth's market square. We just saw it and thought we would stay for breakfast. I had the most perfect poached eggs on toast, amazing. Will certainly be here again when in the area.

Perfect cream tea........except only one scone not 2 in the price! However scone almost melted in mouth and was warm. Jam and clotted cream on top a delight. Not sure I've had a better one. Would certainly recommend the deli for a cream tea. Staff extremely helpful, efficient and friendly.

Upon arrival at the restaurant, I was greeted by a server who insisted that I wear a mask. Although I was under the impression that masks were not required while dining, I complied. It would have been more convenient if table service outside was offered. Despite the aggressive welcome, the Devon cream teas were delicious and the Red Pepper Lentil soup was flavorful. The server's attitude left much to be desired, but the food made up for it. Ver carta

Tucked away in Datrmouth's quaint market square Dart 2 Mouth Deli shop eatery is just the perfect place to stop for breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea ..or to sit and relax whilst enjoying a bottle of wine or Prosecco. The outside seating is partly undercover .. with heaters and tartan blankets supplied if the day is damp or chilly. Excellent quality locally sourced food products, fabulous proprietors and staff and a great spot .. highly recommend.

It is hard to find something in Dartmouth if you are vegan so didn't fancy our chances in the Market Square but running out of choices. A quick browse of the menu and I noticed they have a really inclusive menu with GF and VG choices. We had the home made soup and the Tofu baguette which were both exceptional with perfectly crisp but soft tofu and pea houmous. It sounds very worthy but was absolutely delicious and a proper light lunch. It has made the prospect of a trip to Dartmouth even more worthwhile.

"The positive is that the food is good. But the negative is the service time and the attitude of the staff. We were seated and had our order taken after 20 minutes. A little slow but it was a busy Saturday evening so understandable. Starters came promptly and were eaten. We then got ignored by every passing member of staff for at least 50 minutes. Quite the skill! Once there was a break in our conversation and I realised how long it had been, I stood up to intercept a waitress and asked “are our mains on the way, please?” Our ticket was checked by her at the kitchen hatch and we were told “yes”. At this point our starter plates were cleared after they had sat on the table for at least 35 minutes. Our mains then took another 25 minutes to get to us, so I suspect that being told they were on their way was a lie. To be clear: we were given our mains 1hr 20 mins after placing our order. I complained to a waitress who sent over a manager. The manager asked if we’d had starters (yes, we had) and said that it was our fault our main was so late as we’d had a first course. How insulting!!! Blaming the customer for their bad service. Disgusting. When I said it was still far too long to wait between courses she then changed tack and said the kitchen was “really really busy” well, they weren’t busy cooking our food now were they?! And despite the place being full when we arrived, by this point of the night over half the tables were empty. There were 3 tickets on the pass along with ours and tables were 2 4 people (no large groups) so I feel that was also another lie to get out of it. What a shocking way to treat customers! My advice to you is: if you want your food served in a timely manner, either take the advice of the manager and don’t order a starter, or, be sure to communicate with waitstaff once your first course is finished and ask for your main to be cooked and served promptly. (Note: food also sat under the heat lamps for long lengths of time as staff stood socialising with one another behind the bar rather than serve customers) I hope this advice is of use as I would have appreciated it ahead of my visit! Good luck. [Reading other reviews, ours is not the only experience of slow service and seeing staff chat to one another rather than deal with the customers paying their wages.
