"I had a nice dinner tonight to celebrate my birthday. the staff always offers a warm welcome and the service was fast. they would recommend the people to try the tallahassee chicken, with the most beautiful chips that I have eaten for a past, carrots and green beans. himself got my man green bean to taste (he has rejected them 31 years because they squeak when he eats them) and he said they were very nice! well made colliers arms"

"Went thus afternoon for hubby's birthday lunch,we've heard all about it so decided to try it out as there was just us two,we'll we were not disappointed, this pub is a jem we shall be returning to,the staff were lovely,friendly and helpful,then let's get to the food!, I went for the Greek salad with chips,I've had Greek salads in many restaurants and not been impressed,this however was a different story,delishous olives,plenty of chunks of feta,generous helpings of tomatoes onion,cucumber,lettuce,rocket thrown in which I love,and hummus and pitta bread,I really could not manage more than four or five lovely rustic chips,my hubby had Tallahassee chicken with vegatables,the breast was enormous,everything on his plate was piping hot,one dessert followed,not me because I could not eat another thing,lemon meringue which I'm told was delishous,we will return,and personally I can't wait,"

"This is a review based only on take away food and from over take aways, so not a one off. One of the biggest surprises to us was the variation in quality from one week to the next. An example of this is that...a Tandoori mixed grill one week was so good, my partner had it again the next week, second time it was almost covered in a slimy coating and not at all pleasant. This also happened with a lamb Rogan josh, top quality one week, a few weeks later it tasted more like a pudding (more of this later). The quality of the meat, be it chicken, lamb or prawn has been generally absolutely top quality, large tasty pieces of meat, larger pieces than most other takeaways and good quality too. The side dishes have been generally good to. Price wise Holdi is expensive, there is no question about this and when the food is good quality I do not mind paying for it, the inconsistency we have encountered doesn’t warrant these prices to be honest. However, the biggest issue we have with Holdi is sweet curries, so often we have all of us) said this tastes sweet try it yourselves. It’s sweet to a point that it becomes a bit weird and not what you want from a curry. In addition to this have a look at the menu, about times it must say a sweet dish! We have avoided these and still received a sweet dish, the last one a sweet chicken jalfrezi…? Finally, when its around for a takeaway, chuck in a few poppadoms most other restaurants and takeaways do, it is a nice gesture."

"After a lengthy wait for our rather ordinary meals, two members of our party decided to order the Eton Mess. When it arrived, we were surprised at how small the portions were, especially considering they cost £6.25 each. However, the biggest disappointment for me was that, instead of being cold as it should be, it was actually quite hot in some parts. It was essentially defrosted frozen fruit topped with whipped cream that melted away immediately. There weren’t any meringue pieces to be found! What a disappointing effort! I mentioned my concerns when we paid the bill, but all I received was a vague assurance that my feedback would be passed along."

"Service slow don't serve in bar talk other side ??. Don't go to play pool £1.50 a game bar staff say pay by card but will accept cash £1.50 .... £1.50 cash.. thats why regulars sit on table and not play on it.. still dear at £1.50 to sit on .... Lol...Will not rush back there for a drink.. .. staff miserable... and be prepared to wait in bar if ordering cuz you will not get served if you don't go and ask in lounge to be served?? Why ??. Would not recommend after my experience staff miserable .....¡¡》"
