"Goes without saying it’s a lovely hotel. What else would you expect? However, what struck me the most was the absolutely fantastic staff. Every single person I encountered from the contractor who lent me his zippo, the bartender who pre batched my **** Mary for the next morning, the patient night porter who brought out a little birthday cake, the sympathetic waitress who nursed me through my crippling hangover. They’re just a **** lovely bunch, who clearly love their jobs, and their happiness is contagious. The place is gorgeous but I’d stay in a pop up tent in Siberia if those lot were running the show. We love to see it. Bonus factoid: I was curled up on the sofa asleep on my fur coat in daytime sequins with a stick of celery in my mouth when Olga randomly walked in and it was a bit like **** himself waltzing into church. She was very friendly, and didn’t make me feel judged despite the obvious state I was in. But I feel a deep, visceral shame that will probably haunt me for years."

"The Guljar Tandoori Lydd, Romney Marsh On our last night of our holiday in Camber Sands we went for dinner at The Guljar Tandoori Restaurant. We had a very warm welcome by Mohammed who explained the menu of the Banquet Night. We ordered our food and soon had our starters which was well presented and delicious. The mains soon followed which was very plentiful and very tasty, each dish had its distinct taste and flavour. Everyone in our group was filled at the end of the meal. Yousuf at front of house was very friendly and professional in his approach. The set Banquet was very good value. The desert menu was not reflective of the food menu, it looked like pre-prepared desserts and not Indian based so we didn’t have desert. Overall very good food and good value."

"Amazing pub, great staff, great food and reasonably priced! Spent three days at Romney Sands Holiday Park recently (an hour walk away) and really enjoyed the pub. Messenger Messaged them for Sunday opening times and was so grateful of the prompt answer. We were blessed with sunshine and the outside area was welcoming and the new outside bar area is great. We are two chefs by trade and usually so critical of eating out but the Turkey Roast Dinner was delicious, plentiful and good value for money. Simply cannot fault the place. Cannot recommend this pub highly enough. We will definitely return Peter and Leah"
