amazing just amazing my food was a bit late but the staff said it was because of a shipment error for cheese but that wasn't a issue. The macaroni was incredible 10/10 if I could I'd go again

Wife and I stopped in for a drink. Liked it because of the name; of course, stayed because of the people. Great staff and great atmosphere. Has the old pub feel because it is an old pub. Easy to hide in a dark corner if you don't want to be seen drowning your sorrows.

Convenient spot and fun ambiance for authentic Scottish fare. The local beer had great taste and the haggies, nips and tatties were so good and portions were big. The guacamole with the chips was fresh and a little chunky. Loved the real candle on the table. Server was attentive.

great food, nice people. was impressed by the place total 5 people who manage (including the cook) for 50 plus cover restaurant. with a smile. lachsfisch perfectly cooked. He was good. they had more than 200 whisky varieties. big collection. more than 200 years old restaurant. loved the candles on each table in an empty whisky bottle.

the more attractive it means, the more disappointing it is food. I visited them on a weekday at 20:30 a.m. to dinner. first the restaurant was very underused with only 2 waitresses and waitresses. also half their courts were not available due to the completion of the delivery, which is not expected by a joint. even eating that came lasted long and was not on the expectations.

We went here because of the cool reviews and the name and came out really wishing we had more time to hang out! We had one drink and checked out the decor. It reminded me of the Salty Dog in Homer, Alaska. Quirky. Darker. Sawed off golf clubs hanging from the ceiling and older Rum signs. The bottles holding the tall candles on the tables. I really wanted to get a t-shirt! If they had sweatshirts (I can't remember)then yes!! We wanted to go back and never had the chance.

Service was ok. Better than other places we went in the area. Very small and dark interior. For an appetizer we had the fried Mac n cheese. Thiese were very good. I'm not sure what cheese is in there but the flavors were on point. I was not a fan of the cold dipping sauce. I had the fish and chips. It was a large piece of fish but I could not eat any of it as it was full of bones. The fist bite I took had about 20 bones. I ended up eating the batter only. Very dissenting.

I loved Dirty Dick 's from the first visit. I ended up returning a few times, during the several months I was in Scotland. I 've tried quite a few things on the menu, including the Dirty Fries (haggis on chips) and it was great. In fact, all of the food we tried was great. The staff was also really friendly. Each time we came in, we ended up having a good chat with our server, and a few laughs with the bar mate. The atmosphere was the real winner here. Dirty Dick 's is a great bar along the ever popular Rose Street. Currently their social media profile says: Whisky and gin galore! Classy Scottish grub, craft beer, clutter, antiquary, and great tunes. And, yes, that 's what you 're going to find here. Also, they 're dog friendly, family friendly, vegan friendly if you need a bite; they 're just all around friendly. As you can imagine, all of this as well as being in a touristy area makes it almost always busy. Not sure what to order?
